jake65 (1247), Meridian, Idaho, USA Jul 7, 2008 Draft: A dusty, hazy blonde pour with a large white head. Lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is mild of grass and light wheat notes. Faint bits of hops. The flavor has a little bit of hops that stand out, along with a subtle wheaty tone and light amount of maltiness. Nice little hybrid of a witbier and wheat ale. I’d drink this a little in the summer.
BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Jul 27, 2008 A little heavier for the style, and not really a wit bier in my opinion. Kidn of has a pilsner quality to it, not as light and soft as I would prefer. Has a bit of a haze not quite inversion level with a dark golden color. Quaffable for a hot summer dayt like today where it is 11:30am and pushing 90 degrees. Still I think this one needs some tweaking back at the drawing board. BückDich (4540), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 6, 2008 Tap @ Brewpub: Pours a hazy orange tan color with decent head and lacing. The nose is very faint with some husky grain notes, distant orange extract and some gummy wheat notes. The flavor is wheaty with some twang and yeast esters. Not very spicy or citrusy. Light thin body and a dull wheat thump in the tail. Off the mark a bit.
