downender (4389) - Bristol, - NOV 9, 2009
Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol 3/11/09. Deep gold, slightly hazy with a slight white head. Aroma of tinned peaches and digestive biscuits. Flavour was sweet with some apricot jam, earthy hops and a short, bitter finish. A half pint was enough.

It has a dry and lingering aftertaste, although this is a bland ale at best.

GBBF. Cask. Clear amber beer. Semi dry palate. Fruity but a little too much apple. Finishes semi dry with more apple. A bit young mayhap?

tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - APR 20, 2012
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats in (JDW) April 2012. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale copper in colour with a thin white head. Clear note of runny honey in the short sweet aroma. Thin watery mouthfeel and poor lacing. Pale malt gives a poor digestive biscuit base with sweet caramel present. Dusty hop resins provide a slightly bitter aftertaste but this fades fast tthough. Finish is malty and quite dry with oak cask notes in the palate. An ok session bitter but still below average though.

Nocturne (144) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2012
Cask at JDW. Red amber colour. After a while the short white head completely vanishes. Smooth, easy-drinking beer with a surprisingly hefty body. Lots of sweet caramel and a hint of spices as it ends. Not bad.

imdownthepub (7494) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 25, 2012
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Red amber with no head. This had a real vinous pong to it getting toward manure. Tartish fruity beer, tasted old and flat. Crikey it had been kept badly.

Cask, The Francis Newton, Sheffield. Clear ruby amber, thick head. Mild soapy aroma, weak caramel and fruit flavour. Strange finish, slightly metallic.

Cask. JDW fest. Medium golden color with a small white head. Light, grassy fruity nose. Hops. The taste is mildly jammy, some marmalade, marmite, apricots and peaches, light grassy hops. A bit funky. Light/medium body. Some subtle carbonation. Overall, a decent pint.
