This farmhouse ale was brewed at Hill Farmstead with our friend and mentor Anders Kissmeyer (Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing) and our longtime friend Will Meyers (Cambridge Brewing Co.). Inspired by our guests and their journeys, this beer was brewed with the resourcefulness and inventiveness of the Nordic tradition, as well as the creative spirit of its three architects.

Nordic Inspired Ale brewed with Heather Honey

Bottle, shared with Parksy and others, sent by JulienHuxley-- thanks! Similar in appearance to Anna, though not as carbonated and perhaps a bit paler. Similar tart, rustic profile as well, with more acidity and lemony traits. Quenching, lovely.

Bottle (batch #1). Pours a hazy straw color with a slight orange tint when held to the light. A two finger fine white head slowly fades to an ample ring around the glass. Aromas of hay, citrus, slight must, a slight sweetness. Lightly tart, a slight sweetness underneath; citrus. A nice bright taste; lots of lemon. Light+ bodied, fizzy carbonation. Wonderful. 750 ml bottle shared with the group. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have nice citrus that leans toward lemons, herbal character, hay, some funk, I get a light acidic character, pale malts, has a little more sweetness and fruit juice than many saisons, solid.
