This farmhouse ale was brewed at Hill Farmstead with our friend and mentor Anders Kissmeyer (Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing) and our longtime friend Will Meyers (Cambridge Brewing Co.). Inspired by our guests and their journeys, this beer was brewed with the resourcefulness and inventiveness of the Nordic tradition, as well as the creative spirit of its three architects.

Pours a very very pretty soft blonde with a nice white head. Very nice aroma with spice, citrus, citrus peel, earthy tart, and peppery. Wonderful flavor, tart tropical fruit, citrus rind, spicy and peppery, juicy, and delicious.

[7675-20150919] Tap. Light fruity yeast aroma. Hazy, pale orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Soured yeasty wet lemon skins flavour has a bit of a young green thing going on. Medium body is soured. Good. (7/4/7/4/15) 3.7

Smell is rather weak, but you get a welcoming floral smell, a bit of pedals, rhubarb, with a hint of lime. Pours hazy yellow/golden color with a thin white head. Taste is rather strong. Lots of rhubarb, floral notes, a bit of lime, pineapples, wine , wheat etc Strong taste with a lot of complexity, while still remaining easy to drink. Mouth-feel is light and puckery with soft carbonation. Overall it is a bit different but enjoyable.

Hazy golden pour w. small white head. Nose: that HF goodness is present. Musty, yeasty, Vermont morning dew... Sour grass, fermenting hay and lemon peel. Taste: grassy, yeasty, slightly sour with a acidic grassy aftertaste. Lively mouthfeel and a medium body. Finish: clean, lemony and slightly mineral.

Smells of sweet juniper. Cloudy yellow with light ring of head. Tart cherry under a warm spice that is still buried under the tart sour.

750 ml bottle bought at the general store in Greensboro, VT. Hazy dark straw color, beautiful fluffy white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Nose is absolutely glorious; vibrant floral character and bright honey interweave with tart rhubarb and rich, luscious apricot. Flavor is much of the same, with tart fruit coming to the fore. A hint of emptiness for a brief instant in the mid palate deviates from the normally perfect HF mouthfeel, but on the whole this a glorious saison with beautifully incorporated adjuncts. Serious shit.

Tap at Scheras for Zwanze day. Cloudy light golden pour. Fruity tart aroma. Taste follows with nice dry finish. Really amazing.
