That said, concept only... pour is a bright golden color with a massive and dense head. smell is like a bowl of tropical fruit. mango papaya slightly sweet smelling. taste is indeed the middle of two blends, somewhat dry with a bit of sweetness but and extra dose of hop flavor and bitterness. Blending is fun. Looking forward to more blends in the future.

"VIP Blend" keg served at VIP night of Second Anniversary party. This was half a keg of What is Enlightenment? that was topped off with Abner in attempt to make Abner "more sessionable" (6.8, don’t tell Ding).
For all the tickers out there, I dare you to be honest and at least acknowledge if you created a bastard version yourself and not had the keg from the party.
Look is the same as either of the base beers, hazed golden color with a large, frothy white head; long lasting retention and light lacing. Aroma is highlight of this concoction, blending the best of both beers; citrus bomb, more sweet than bitter, with orange, grapefruit and mango balanced with light lemon and pine, and sweet malt. Medium thick body, effervescent carbonation with a near perfect mouthfeel. Flavor leans more toward Abner than WiE, but is much drier, almost distractingly so. Not as sweet and juicy as the nose, with a stronger piney and floral aftertaste. I’d still prefer fresh Abner, but more interesting than WiE.

A 50/50 blend kegged for the VIP event at the Hill Farmstead 2nd Anniversary party. Hazy golden pour with a huge frothy white head. massive citrus in the nose- orange peel, mandarin, grapefruit, and lemon with piney herbals providing support. Hints of scallion and dankness as well. Medium body with perfect effervescence and a crisp clean finish.
