COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abner (1867-1953) is our great grandfather; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his fourteen children.  In his honor, this Double IPA is dutifully crafted from American malted barley, a plethora of American hops, our ale yeast and water from Abner’s well.  It is unfiltered, naturally carbonated, and double dry hopped.  Aromatic and flowery, bursting with notes of citrus and pine, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Abner.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2012 thank you thomas for picking me up a growler, i know this is your favorite. its a truly beautiful beer, light orange with pinkish hue reminiscent of grapefruit juice. smell is pine and citrus. sour (diesel) scent which is hilarious, to me at least.......... This tastes so so good... very dry on the palate with an intense rush of hops. The citrus in the nose follows through to the back of my tongue. slightly bitter after taste. Overall another top notch brew from HF

Tap at Hill Farmstead. Pours a beautiful hazed banana peel yellow with a large white head. Aromas of floral and tropical hops, some alcohol detected in the nose. Bitter but gentle flowers and citrus juice. Wow.

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2015 Draft from HF, thanks to Adrian. Superb aroma on this strong IPA. Plenty of bitterness - a touch harsh at first, but once my palate grew accustomed, I was loving it. Full funky floral aroma. A good amount of sweetness also. Some fruit hanging around the edges. Very good indeed.

Growler in trade. Pours a cloudy yellow. white head. Aroma is super piney. Taste is light, piney, with some more hop diversity. Better than the aroma. Would have liked some different hop profile, maybe some citrus, dank, etc. Mouthfeel and body is great, not just my hop style.

Growler shared by beechber224. Nose is super piney and woody. Like a line tar. Very hazy to cloudy. Taste is better and more hoo forward.

Belle couleur dorée avec un col blanc assez résistant. Aromes de fruits tropicaux, comme la peche, mangue, ananas, agrumes, résines, un petit coté épicé, très interessant. L’alcool est plutot bien caché. Une de mes top DIPA!

On tap at the Farmhouse Tap & Grill - Burlington VT. Absolutely fantastic beer! Colour our gold and the liquid is a bit hazy. Head is snow-white and bubbly. Nose is citrucy and fresh. Flavours didn’t exploded at first sip because the beer was to cold so I wait a few minutes and then... BANG! All the flavours previously hidden came to my tongue, my palate, my nose... The thing I probablu liked the most with this one was it’s carbonation that gives this beer a unique and subtil mineral texture. I highly recommand this one!
