COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Saison is crafted from American malted barley, American and European hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur. 6% Alc/Vol 13ºPlato

Rating #900!. 75cl bottle. APPEARANCE: light clouded blond beer, nice stable white head. NOSE: little peppery, fruity, nice! TASTE: nice balanced sourness, fruity, full aftertaste, nice alcohol hint. Very good saison! Again a great Hill Farmstead beer I had the pleasure of enjoying!

Bottle. Pours a straw yellow with a foamy head. Slightly sour with good carbonation and earthy tones. Saisons aren’t my favorite style, but this one was decent.

Tap at Capones Annual Black Friday event, Norristown PA, 29/11/13. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is tarte fruit skins, citric dipped straw, burnt lemon rind, cobwebs, grass, soured grapes, light funk. Taste comprises bitter orange, earthy, farmyard, citric dipped straw, tarte lemon rind, grape skins, dank light balsa wood tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp finale. Clean and refreshing saison. Good work as usual from HF.

Big thanks to Corey for sending me this! Very cloudy golden pour with a frothy white head that sits atop and nice lace. Very rustic aroma, bubblegum, hints of phenolic spice, light starchy wheat, grassy, touches if yeast and citrus. A touch sweeter and smooth body with lemon, grassiness, yeast with grains and a funky end. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Very interesting and different Saison. Great stuff.

Thanksgiving to rbrazell! Hazy straw yellow with white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast wheat and grass. Effervescent with lemon grass and wheat notes. Extremely drinkable and worth seeking out. More please!

Bottle shared thanks to rbrazell! Pours a hazy golden yellow with fluffy white head and good lacing. Aroma is funky yeast, tart lemon, hint of grass. Taste is more of the citrus and less of the grass, good woody funk. Nicely done saison.

Fresh bottle. Gorgeous nose of clove, heavy floral, light yeasty esters, lemon. Hazy lemon in color with a big fluffy head. Delightful taste of tart lemon, sweet orange, a light grassy tone, light lactic acid, and slight spicy coriander. Light, refreshing body. Awesome Saison.

Thanks to Dustin for this one. 750 mL to tulip glass. Carbonation is... enthusiastic. I didn’t serve it super cold but still, the foam started to creep out of the bottle and each pour was a time-consuming affair. Aroma is a soft lemon verbena with fresh hay. Flavor is a little sharper than that, with the lemony character turning both slightly acidic and slightly rindy. Honeyed malt and a Brett finish with a bit of phenolics and more dusty straw. Very enjoyable saison.

Bottle from box aroma offered courtesy of Edmund Edmunds xochitl bro 2 the end of life.

Pours a hazy yellow with a good head and nice lacing on the glass.

The bottle from box aroma on this one is pretty solid... lemony, sort of lightly funky with lots of hay, grass, and dusty malt offered. Some leafy hops work well in the mix as well. As it warms it opens up and there is some distinct barnyard earthiness.

The beer is nicely bitter & earthy with some leafy hop character. It’s perfectly dry & tart with some lemony sour notes... as the glass progresses there is a nice little lime-stoney note. The beer is extraordinarily drinkable, very well balanced and finessed.

Palate is that classic high carbonation prickly Saison thing.

Cool beer bro
