COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Saison is crafted from American malted barley, American and European hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur. 6% Alc/Vol 13ºPlato

Pours a cloudy golden color with a thick white head. Superb aroma of funk, yeast, sourness and some spices. Very good flavor of sourness, yeast, barnyard, spices. The body is medium with a creamy, slightly oily texture and medium to lively carbonation. I don’t know what Shaun Hill does to his saisons, but they’re damn good.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a big bubbly white head. The aroma is filled with vanilla, toast, white pepper, lemon, and a hint of earth. On the palate the citrus becomes more complex and the spices really start to dominate. There's like an overwhelming zing on your tongue once you've swallowed and there's an oily essence that lingers long after the last sip. Wow. I thought it would be overhyped but now I'm not do sure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Gingerman during a little Saturday afternoon walkabout. Pours hazy gold with quickly dissipating head. Nose is of musty bread in a good way. Tastes musty, of pepper, coriander, yeasty, light citrus, and grass. Pleasant and crisp

750mL shared by MikeTD, HF certainly can make saisons with the best of them, but I feel this a bit lacking compared to someof the other saisons they’ve produced, anna springs to mind. its a real treat to have this, smooth clean delicate but just lacking something, perhaps a touch of sweetness.
