Ive (no joke) had this 5 times between 3.29.14 and 10.23.15 and am just now getting around to submitting a rating. I suck. You definitely smell the maple and the bourbon. Smell is very sweet. Some chocolate notes come through in both aroma and flavor. You get some light maple syrup flavor that mixes really well with some chocolate and bourbon notes. Just a nice, rich, smooth flavor profile. Not sure what the ABV is but this is so good and drinkable.

375 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Originally reviewed 6/10/2014. Black with a medium khaki head. Wispy surface. Thin collar. Smells of Bourbon. Maple syrup. Vanilla. Oak. Pretty chocolatey. More bourbon before it gets fudgy. Taste has lots of maple syrup. Very sweet. Chocolate. Bourbon. More maple. Oaky finish. Very thick and very sweet, but worth the sugars. Medium carbonation. Maple really helps this transcend other HF stouts.

375ml bottle generously shared by my main man oteyj!!! Rich, viscous, ridiculously black pour, small light brown head. Nose and flavor were definitively sweet, with maple, whiskey, vanilla, mocha, and milk chocolate. Definitely not as highly attenuated as most HF porters/stouts, but it shouldnt have been, and it worked. Righteous shit.

Drank on my birthday last year. From the backlog. Black body with a small head. Huge vanilla bourbon and rich fudge. A nice hint of booziness- pretty hot still which I actually dig. Thick and rich body. A tad sweet. Loved it.

375ml, thanks Matt. Black pour with minimal head. Dark roast, vanilla, oak, smooth bourbon. Lots of sweetness, assuming from the maple, though didnt get any maple flavor. Flavors are all very subtile. Had an odd overly fizzy carbonation.

Bottle from Pat, thanks bud! Apperance is balck and viscous with little to no head. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate syrup and oak. Taste is choclate syrup, vanilla, marshmallows and coffee. Velvet smooth mouthfeel, light carb. Man, this well balanced stuff, just the right amount of barrel character, coupled with an perfect mouthfeel. Excellent stuff.

Bottle to chalice Bourbon, light coffee, vanilla, and oak. Silky and creamy black with a thin ringed off white head. Caramel, bourbon, vanilla. Wow, so smooth, and no harshness.
