Bottle from Pat, thanks bud! Apperance is balck and viscous with little to no head. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate syrup and oak. Taste is choclate syrup, vanilla, marshmallows and coffee. Velvet smooth mouthfeel, light carb. Man, this well balanced stuff, just the right amount of barrel character, coupled with an perfect mouthfeel. Excellent stuff.

Bottle to chalice Bourbon, light coffee, vanilla, and oak. Silky and creamy black with a thin ringed off white head. Caramel, bourbon, vanilla. Wow, so smooth, and no harshness.

Pours pitch black with a nice sweet aroma that's faint with bourbon and maple. The taste is a glorious combination of flavors. Faint maple with slight bourbony vanilla notes. A smooth mouth feel that entices the taste buds all the way down. Wish I had more. Amazing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smell is bourbon with a bit of chocolate malt. Taste is pretty great and pretty rich. Almost too rich. Notes of bourbon, chocolate, malt, and a nice backdrop of maple. I had hoped for as much maple flavor as possible and there is a decent amount in there, but it’s not heavy. Body is thick, but not super thick.

[ As Hill Farmstead Beyond Good and Evil ].
Clear dark black brown color with a average to large, creamy - frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, coffee, bourbon. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, dark chocolate, alcohol, sweet malt oak. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. Nice ;D [20140925]

Bottle: Thanks, Alex. Black body with a sliver of deep brown at the edges. A fuzzy tan foam forms on top, then quickly fades into a thin skin & collar. Aroma is loaded with fresh, sweet maple syrup, bourbon, charred wood, bittersweet chocolate, burnt brown sugar, a touch of vanilla, & light hints of molasses. Boozy, sweet, but great. Flavor is very rich. First sip is like reduced Hershey’s milk chocolate mixed with maple syrup, bourbon, molasses, & over-caramelized sugars. Wow. Nice undertones of toasted oak, roasted malt, bitter cocoa dust, & vanilla. Strong milk chocolate, maple, & bourbon finish. It’s boozy & sweet, but rather than combat each other, they balance so well. Solid creaminess to the body. Just a great stout all around. This competes with Bourbon Damon as my favorite HF stout. Bravo.

Thick black stuff with a creamy tan head. Very sweet with a strong maple finish. Excellent stuff in small doses.

375 ML bottle Jet black pour, not much in the head department. Thick and syrupy looking in the glass Nose is chocolate, vanilla, coconut, cake, icing, and maple syrup. Sweet nose but very well balanced. Taste is sweet but it is quite fun. Vanilla icing, chocolate cake, bourbon, vanilla, toasted oak, fudge, caramel, and roast. Sweet and slick, well hidden ABV, until later. Complex and fun beer.

Bottle shared by Jeff. Aroma is like a candy bar. Cookies, honey, maple, chocolate cake, caramel, and roast coffee. Pours black with a nice brown head and lingering film. Taste is like a glass of cocoa with notes of maple, coffee, dates, chocolate cake, vanilla, and bourbon. A little on the sweet side and it just works. These guys are amazing.

375mL bottle, pours a thick jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is complex as hell, with toasted nuts, bourbon barrels, light vanilla, brown sugar and roast. Flavour is complex as hell, with bourbon, maple syrup, roasted malt and light wood. I usually don’t like maple syrup, but this is done perfectly. Complex, elegant and extremely well-balanced. Hill Farmstead nails it again.
