Orange/gold pour, white head. Juicy citrusy hops abound! Perfectly hoppy and just incredibly drinkable. Very enjoyable.

Tap. Prohibition Pig, Waterbury, VT. Opaque gold. Thin, clingy, white head. Nose is big, full, juicy fresh citrus. Background of biscuit malts. Taste is a beautiful balance of the two. Clean and easy drinking. Perfect fizz. Juicy bitter finish. Extra marks for the lemon and lime hop burps! Fantastic pale ale.

Draft at Blackback Pub. Pours a hazy deep yellow light orange color with an off white head. Aroma packs a wonderful citrus and tropical fruit to it, but a touch more mild than the Double Citra, as to be expected. A bit more crushable given the lower ABV. Outstanding beer!

Draft. Aromas of orange juice and some grapefruit. Flavors are mostly grapefruit with some shortbready crackerish malt presence. Fizzy mouthfeel. Good, but nothing to justify a 100 here.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler received in trade. Pours very hazy brunt deep yellow with a rather small frothy white head that leaves lots of sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is heavy fruity and slightly grassy with crackers, grapefruit juice, mango, passion fruit, star fruit, freshly cut grass, pine needles, lemon balm, kumquats and lemon zest. Slightly bitter, fruity and grassy. Mouthfeel is soft, tiny crisp, dry, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is bitter with crackers, white bread, grapefruit juice, mango, pineapple, lychee, freshly cut grass, pine needles, lemon balm, lemon grass and lemon zest. Holy mother of Citra!! Huge high quality hops on that magical Hill Farmstead pale ale base. Great amazing stuff as I’ve learned to expect from my favourite brewer.

Juicy mango, guava, peach, white grape, grass, grainy/biscuity/crackery mild sweetness. Best pale I’ve ever had maybe?

I wasnt sure of all the hype but the brewery pulled through. A very well balanced beer that had a great hop palate and no overwhelming alcohol.

Tap. Hazy yellow white pour with a nice white head. Citrus, pine, grapefruit, hop. Very well balanced. Smooth medium body and carbonation. Seems bigger and much flavorful than a 5.5%. Really nice

750 mL growler poured into an Allagash chalice.
Hazy orange with a nice white head. Sticky lacing. Great retention.
Oh my. Citrus hop all the way. Smells like a really well hopped IPA. Tropical fruits and citrus. Just a hint of grainy malt shines through.
Taste is more focused on orange citrus, but still retains some tropical fruit flavors. No sweetness, grainy malts give the only bit of backbone it has. Almost no bitterness.
Medium carbonation, maybe a little low from the growler. Light body. Drinkable as hell.
Hill Farmstead has set the standard on pale ales with this one.
