750 mL bottle poured into a plastic cup. Originally reviewed 9/1/2013. Pale golden orange. Big white head. Laces beautifully even in the plastic cup. Wine barre aromal. Yeasty. Some pale malts. Some light fruitiness. Taste is lightly tart. Very yeasty, almost bitter. Pale malt. Some mild grassiness. Wine barrel is fainter. Medium high carbonation. Lightly tart. Drinkable I suppose. Doesn’t reach the heights of complexity that the othet Civil Disobedience beers do, but good.

750ml bottle in a HF tulip. Pours hazy golden with a lacy, white head. Aroma of light tartness, some light oak and wine, some light fruitiness, some pale malts, and floral and lightly grassy notes. Flavor an incredible blend of everything. Average great HF saison texture. A really, really good beer.

Hazy yellow of color with a white head. An aroma of pears, dusty, muldy, sweets and melon. A flavor of yeast, melon, sweets, muldy and plastic.

Bottle shared by Bobby. Pale golden pour with a white head and some haze. Really musty, kind of basement like nose. Grass, apple skin, cranberry, and oak. Yeast, unripe plum, and light citrus. Flavor is kind of astringent. Raw cranberry, oak, and lots of musty funk. Oak, yeast, and chalk. Light acidity of citrus zest.

Bottle generously shared by Maltzilla. Clear yellow pour with white head. Muted citrus and floral aromas. Mild but tasty with citrusy/grapefruit hop notes. Biscuit and barrel under tones. Good body and mouthfeel.

Bottle at VT bottle share. Pours murky yellow with massive white head and awesome lacing patterns. Tons of fluff. Aromas are citrus zest, smooth oak, saison yeast, well water, flowers, and grain. Taste is vinous funk, tart apple, barrel, crisp citrus fruit, yeast, and well water. Lots of rustic Arthur is present in this blend. Tiny bubble carbonation and med body. Great!

Tap at the Festival of Farmhouse Ales 2012 - Hill Farmstead. Pours hazy, yellow-gold with a giving, white foam head. Nose has some biscuity pale malts, tangy citrus fruits, lemon, moderate funk. Light sweet flavor with lots of zippy lemon, further dryish and lightly biscuity pale malts, a spot of wheat, yeast, pleasant funk tang. Light bodied with average to lively, massaging carbonation. Cleansing finish with further brisk lemon, some orange and grapefruit, biscuity pale malts, light musky funk, wheat. Lovely, lovely beer.

750 mL bottle. Thanks to a few guys for hooking me up with this. Shared alongside CD 1 and CD 2. Also thanks to Starr for sharing one earlier. Pours a clear, light golden color with a large, fluffy white head and nice lace. Very fruit and juicy nose, of wine, grape, citrus and light floral flourishes. Flavor is more of a typical saison than nose suggested, but that’s not a complaint. Yeasty spice, earthy hops, slightly funky and some dry oak. Light crisp body with a refreshing dry finish.

Bottle shared by yourefragile. Thanks Michael. Civil Disobedience 1-3 side by side. The beer is fairly hazy and straw yellow with a substantial white head. The aroma offers floral notes, oak, tart citrus, wine, oak, grass. Very enticing. The flavor is quite good as well. Additional notes of brett and earthy funk. Light bodied and easy drinking. Complex and delicious. Another winner from Hill Farmstead. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 07-02-2012
