COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A blend of 5 beers from Four Select Oak Barrels.
Civil Disobedience, our non-violent protest against the homogenization of flavor, comes in the form of a spontaneous, circumstantial, and unpredictable series of beer releases. We relinquish control in favor of an anarchistic collaboration of microbial activity. This is the expression of our conscience, our opposition to oppression, and an act of creative freedom.

Very dark brown pour, fluffy light brown head. Dry, dusty aroma. Cobwebs, wet and musky smells. Lots of red wine notes. Flavor is tart, old and wet oak, red wine, dry and yeasty finish.

Bottle, 10/04/2012. Pours dark cola brown, huge rocky head with copious lacing clinging to the glass. Aroma musty with yeast and brett, with mildly tart dark fruitiness backed by dusty roasted malts and chocolate, oak and red wine character. Taste has lemony tartness, earthy backdrop of roast, coffee grounds. Smoothly carbonated palate. Pretty good, aroma especially, but not my favorite black saison or HF brew.

Pours unclear swampy brown with a big creamy brown nutmeg head. The aroma is light tart and sweet, like a Flemish brown, which spills into the flavor as well. The flavors bring awesome light sour tartness with some almost cherry fruitness, sour dark fruit flavors. Delicious and quenching!

(Draught at HIll Farmstead Fall Festival of Ales) cloudy brown with medium tan creamy bubbled head. Nose of manure, barn, raisins, field greens, chocolate, extremely unique. Taste of light lacto, cranberry, chocolate, cream, tart, complex and awesome. Fairly dry, tart and cocoa linger. A truly one of a kind beer.

Courtesy of Tom10101. Black with almost solid mocha foam. Interesting combination of funk and sour; some chardonnay, oak, plum, fig, cherry, lemon zest, brett, tannin. Moderate carbonation and body, tart, some alcohol, more chardonnay, incredibly dry on the finish,

Bottle w/ some heads at Evans going away party. Been waiting to try this sour black saison blend from HF. Pours a deep black with medium off white head, awesome lacing. Aromas are tart lactic cherry funk, earth, roasty malt. Taste is dusty oak, cocoa powder, cherry, peat, currants, and other misc berries. Perfect balance of sour and light roasty notes with a full body long lasting flavor. Very solid and tasty brew meh.

750ml bottle bought off of eBay for $500...lol, just kidding. Poured a deep brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of spices, earth, chocolate, roast, and dark fruits. Tastes of dark fruits, spices, citrus, and nice funkiness. Light sour finish.

750 ml bottle shared by bsuedekum- thanks again, Blake! Pours a dark brown, mostly opaque, with a big beige head that leaves plenty of lace in the glass. Aroma of earthy funk, oak, dark fruits, roasted and chocolate malts, soy, and a hint of lactic funk. Flavor of dark fruits (mostly plums and berries but also currants), brown sugar, roast, oak, and lactic funk. Medium-bodied, with a medium carbonation and a tart, roasty, earthy, sweet, and dry mouthfeel. Complex and tasty.
