A: Golden haze with a frost white head. S: white grapes, oak, brett, rather a weak smell. T: Lots of white wine characteristics, lemon zest, old wood, tartness creeps up in there, and some herbal spices, and ends with a note of blue cheese. M: crispy with medium to high carbonation. O: Very nice but not over the top.

375ml bottle courtesy of Matt for sharing... Bottle opens with a pop and gushes just a touch. The pour itself yields a semi-transparent golden yellow orange hue and topped with a creamy frothy white head... Aroma of a little yogurs and white wine notes to go along with pear and a mild Belgian yeast. A modicum of soft herbalness to go with the aforementioned. Lightly tart and very complex... Flavors are more of the same with white wine, earthy bitterness, lightly tart soft brett notes. A touch of grass surfaces late and through the finish. Just shy of medium bodied with a effervescent semi-lively level of carbonation. Pretty neat stuff.

Pours clear, golden straw with no head. Slow foam and gush up. High carbonation. Nose is Flora, Art and a bit of Anna. Wheaty, bit of grass & oak, prickly floral notes. Taste is a mild Flora with a bit of honey. Loss of carbonation on pour and slightly thin mouth feel. Solid overall. The sum seems somewhat weaker than the parts, but still enjoyable. More time in the barrel may have helped, but it’s hard to say.

Opened this FOBAB eve. CD5 pours a lazy light to moderate yellow in color with a fingers worth of frothy white head. The nose is comprised of typical HF saison characteristics in addition to some citrus, orange, and oak. I can definitely see aspects from each of the beers blended into this. Light tart lemon blends with rustic/floral features as well as some citrus and light white wine. Light mouthfeel, gentle carbonation, slightly watery, no acidity, and a moderate finish. Another great saison from Hill Farmstead. It’s subtle, pleasantly tart, and very clean.

Great beer here. Pours a straw golden color with light head, much less billowy and creamy then many HF saisons. Aroma is very subtle and lightly vinous, spicy, and moderately funky. Taste is medicinal brett, green apples, mustyness, light citrus, and clean dry finish. Lacks a bit in the mouthfeel comparead to other HF offerings as well but still a great beer.

Bottle 375ml. Pours clear blond with low white head (hazy towards bottom of the so small bottle). Good lacing. Aroma is of bretts, citrus, barnyard, rustic, dandelion-like flowers. Taste is of bretts, citrus, malt. Palate: Ligth body. Overall: Very good. Refreshing. Nice citrus. One sip calls for another one. Some common points with white wine.

Bottle (375 ml). Small gusher. Hazy yellow/golden with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, honey, white wine and floral notes. Taste is winey with a slight sourness, some honey and a good amount of citrus. Mouthfeel is moderately dry and winey. One of the most "thirst quenching" beer I’ve tasted so far. Too bad they only do "375 ml" of this one... a 2 L would be perfect a on hot summer day!

Bottle, shared by Tom et al. Hazy yello pour, small white head. Aroma is citrusy, lemon, light rustic/farmhouse, light floral (hibiscus) notes, honey. Taste is quite citric, lemony, white wine finish. Palate is fizzy, really dry. Great stuff.

Bottle at home, all by myself. Pour is slightly hazy golden in appearance with a bright white head and decen lacing. Bright citrusy and floral aroma, with notes of honeycomb, band-aid, medicinal characteristics, light wood, somewhat funky, lemon verbena, and straw. Taste is lemon peel, lightly tart, spice, biscuit, herbal, funky, waxy, flowers, and wood with a crisp, dry finish. Crisp body with medium carbonation. Very bright, lightly acetic, with great balance and spice. Tasty saison and quite possibly one of my favorite HF beers. Nice!
