COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled 05/2013: "Imperial Stout aged in Port & Bourbon barrels Damon (1993-2004). The time spent with loved ones, no lost, seems to affect our mind and body perpetually: memories happen upon us, unsuspectingly, and bring about tears and fond remembrance. Damon was our brother - devout and patient in an age of busyness and distraction. In his honor, we crafted and conditioned this Imperial Stout in both Bourbon and Port Barrels for more than 2 years. We still reflect, daily, upon our Damon and his scruffy chin of grey - of his loyalty and his love. Share. Consider. Enjoy.

Bottle generously cracked by Al , pours flat black with pretty much no head and def no lacing. Aroma is grapes, barrel, fig, caramel, cheese. Flavor is Sticky dark fruit and banana pudding. Other notes of bourbon, wood, licorice and raspberry. A decent bit of booze and warming effect. Good drank.

38cl, no mention of ABV, new exclusive American brew Anno 2013, thx to Secret Santa!, very complex Stout, roasted/alcoholic/sweet and slightly fruity/vinous, not too heavy, balanced, cloudy, nearly no head, very good brew

Bottle opened at GTMW ticket line, first bottle cracked of the morning at 4:45 am, pours black with a thin light brown head and subtle lacing, the aroma was of chocolate and roast with a hint of dark fruit mixed in as well, very subtle bourbon and vanilla made its way in, the flavor has a roasty front end with some vanilla and sweetness in the finish, again a little bit of dark fruit shows through, smooth mouthfeel, personally I enjoyed the regular Damon more, but this is a treat.

Bottles kindly shared by Tom 10101 & JHuxley during our epic CMLSG cellar tasting - all 3 versions put next to each other. All of them have an incredibly nice balance between sweetness and roastiness which is unparallelled vs. other American BA RIS’s, which make them all great beers. - Damon: 3.9/5: subtle vanilla and cocoa in the aromas - Damon PBA;: 4.2/5: my favourite: more depth and complexity. Nose reveils cigars, leather, red fruits. Taste is roasty with a nice vinious touch of raisins. - Damon DBA 4/5: despite the fact that it is the most balanced in the nose, I think the taste is a tad bland.

Bottle shared at the 2014 tasting in the Cellar of Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles. Pours near black with a ring beige head. Aroma of light roast, fudge, bourbon, vanilla and molasses. Flavor is heavy sweet and light heavy bitter. Thick and smooth mouthfeel. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Amazing!

Thanks to Starr for sharing a bottle. Pours a dark viscous black with a trace amount of tan bubbles forming a ring against the glass. Caramel fruit, milk chocolate, molasses and light roast with the port barrel taking the lead at the time of trying this bottle. Silky body with low carbonation.

Bottle thanks to Will. Pours a motor oil with paperthin tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong burnt malt, dark chocolate, cocoa, toffee. Thick mouthfeel with rich roasted malt, dark chocolate, oak, and vanilla. Wow, blown away by this one. Miles away from the port and regular. Really enjoyed this.

Bottle. The pour is dark. The nose is very nice, sweet bourbon. The taste is nice and smooth, just the right mix of bourbon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black pour with a fluffy tan head. Huge vanilla bourbon,, dark fudge, and roasty cocoa nib give way to espresso char, dark fruits, and boozy accents. Thick, rich, and velvety with a warming finish. Massive, but very approachable.

Bottle - Pours a dark brown, little head. The nose was a weird combination of port and oak fighting for dominance and neither winning. The taste was much better. A little fudgy, vanilla, dark chocolate and dark fruit. This isn’t as good a regular Damon.
