Growler at home with friends. Pour is hazy golden orange with a big white head and great lacing. Super fruity, grapefruit peel, oranges, weedy, ganja, somewhat piney, and straw aroma. Taste is resinous, deep grapefruit, oranges, citrus, fruit peel, big grass & weed, sprucy, dough and a clean malt profile - straw and biscuit - with a medium bitter finish. Full body with high carbonation. Well-balanced, hoppy and a light malt backbone, yet not overly bitter or harsh. Awesome DIPA!

750ml swing-top growler shared with blankboy and GregClow, via JerCraigs. Quite hazy orange-yellow - decent white head. Smell and taste - citra; juicy, some alcohol, so fruity - screw it, great beer.

tap at HF anniversary party. notes of big juicy citrusy grapefruit, hint of resin. definitely hop forward, but some pleasant clean toasted biscuity malts add some nice balance. tried side by side with society a solitude 6. this had more hop bitterness. more bright grapefruit. nice.

For what it’s worth, I had this immediately following Heady Topper and this is hands down a better beer to me. It pours cloudy golden w/ a scant white head. It’s sweet w/ a soft hop character--lots of pine and citrus. It’s medium to full bodied but not overly sweet, which can be a problem for this style. This is definitely a huge beer but it’s still quite drinkable and nice.

On tap at Hill Farmstead’s 1st Anniversary. Pretty hazy orange-copper pour with a good sized head. Aroma and flavor both hold tremendous notes of pink grapefruit, orange zest, pine resin, and floral notes. Palate is delightfully drinkable for 8%. Different but comparable in drinkability to Abner, and on the same level in overall quality. Delicious.

On tap at the anniversary party. Pours a hazed orange gold amber with a thin to medium white head. Big bright citrus on the nose. Huge citrus, pithy grapefruit. Candied grapefruit and citrus. Sweet with long grapefruit bitterness. Absolutely lovely.

On tap at Capones. Foggy orange with a white head. Nose is catty orange and grapefruit, caramel and basil. Resiny medium body with a mild carb bite. Taste like the nose with less of the musk and more of the grapefruit peel. A touch of sweetness adds some balance but mostly bitter.

Draft. Pours orange with a white head. Fresh cirtic and fruity hoppy aroma with light floral notes. The flavor has fresh citric hops, lemon, and grassy notes, and light pale malts. Nice.

Thanks to largadeer for sharing this 750ml growler. Somewhat hazy golden in color with a small off-white head. The aroma is excellent, orange an grapefruit, some pine, and malts in the background. The flavor has a caramel malt base that’s somewhat prominent (hey, have to keep it somewhat east coast) but there’s good hoppiness. Very citrusy with some resinousness. The palate is great, not at all syrupy but good and enamel-ripping. Another great one from Shaun Hill and co. The guy can brew.
