COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Edward (1917-2002) is our grandfather; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his five children.† In his honor, this American Pale Ale is dutifully crafted from American malted barley, a plethora of American hops, our ale yeast and water from Edwardís well.† It is unfiltered, naturally carbonated, and dry hopped.† Aromatic and flowery, with impressions of citrus and pine, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Edward.† 13.5ļP, 85 ibus, 5.2% abv. Pale and Caramel malt; Centennial, Chinook, Columbus, Simcoe, and Warrior hops; House Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Tap. Pretty. Nice, rather wheat full nose. A little gym sock. Touch of orange. Taste follows. Well balanced. Could see this becoming popular.

On tap at Lionheart Pub. In the tulip, hazy dark honey gold. Head is there, not too substantive, but clings and sticks around. Might have been a touch cold, but the nose was a little vacant. Palate is wheat malty with a even steady hop through it. Very crafty balance. Nicely done.

Draft. Aroma of faint tangerine and pine. Cloudy copper with tight lace. Flavors are of wispy tangerine backed by a bit of caramel. The finish is preposterously dry with a hint of... gingerbread? Pretty damn wow.

If you like this kind of beer itís hard to imagine something substantially better existing. Itís a clean grassy piney citrus classic American pale. Itís not the fruit bomb that something with Mosaic or Galaxy or Nelson would be because itís old school in ingredients and style. And itís pretty damn great.
