COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Edward (1917-2002) is our grandfather; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his five children.  In his honor, this American Pale Ale is dutifully crafted from American malted barley, a plethora of American hops, our ale yeast and water from Edward’s well.  It is unfiltered, naturally carbonated, and dry hopped.  Aromatic and flowery, with impressions of citrus and pine, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Edward.  13.5ºP, 85 ibus, 5.2% abv. Pale and Caramel malt; Centennial, Chinook, Columbus, Simcoe, and Warrior hops; House Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

A: This one is much like all other hoppy Hill Farmstead beers: a murky orange color with a white head. S: A very nice citrus aroma to this one. Plenty of grapefruit and tangerine with a mild tropical fruit character to it. Mild bread notes to go with it and perhaps some grass. Nice and fruity without being overly sweet. T: Lots of tangerine, grapefruit, and pineapple flavor to this beer. A mild bitterness with some clean bread and cracker malt flavor. The amount of tropical fruit flavor really kind of creeps up on you as you continue to drink the beer. M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation. D: Maybe not as good as Abner, but the lower ABV and full flavor really make this easy to drink.
