COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Edward (1917-2002) is our grandfather; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his five children.  In his honor, this American Pale Ale is dutifully crafted from American malted barley, a plethora of American hops, our ale yeast and water from Edward’s well.  It is unfiltered, naturally carbonated, and dry hopped.  Aromatic and flowery, with impressions of citrus and pine, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Edward.  13.5ºP, 85 ibus, 5.2% abv. Pale and Caramel malt; Centennial, Chinook, Columbus, Simcoe, and Warrior hops; House Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2015 Draft with Pat at Blind Tiger for the Hill Farmstead event. Pours a hazy orange amber body with nice white lacing. Aroma is fresh pine and citrus hop. Mouthfeel is delicious with great notes of pine, fresh yeast, juicy citrus fruits and clean malt bill; overall a great juicy, sessionable hop profile.

From Tap: peach-like golden orange color, thick white head, very fruity nose, citrus, mango, berries, big creamy mouthfeel, low seetness, bitter hoppy finish, some pine, some gentle maltflavors, quite hoppy but not bitterness-driven, very little fruit in taste

On tap at the Pony Bar in NYC. Pours a hazy golden with a white head and aroma of citrus and pine. Taste is hoppy, with nice citrus, lemon, and grapefruit along with pine and peach notes into the finish.

On tap at Roberta’s in Williamsburg. Perfect cap to the night. Cloudy light orange. Mild hops up front, but just enough to satisfy. Then it’s a little sweeter. Lightly toasted malts, a touch of earthy rye, and a finish that lasts forever, balanced between a dry, citrusy bitterness and a caramelly sweetness. This was a refreshing change from my usual pales, which tend to resemble session IPAs - really appreciated the balance. Very tasty.

Citrus pine aroma in a hazy gold pour. Laid back balance with hops to the fore and fruity malt perfectly complimenting them. A brew that defines the term ’moreish’.

Fad/ Mikkeller: lys og delvis uklar, strå- henimod orangefarvet. Top APA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
