COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Everett (1908-1939) was our grandfather’s brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Porter is crafted from American malted barley, English and German roasted malts, American hops, our ale yeast, and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Decadent in its depth, with a complex backbone of chocolate, coffee, and malty sweetness, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Everett. 7.5% ALC/VOL 21º P Ingredients: Pale, Caramel, and Chocolate Malt, Roasted Barley, Columbus hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Smooth, roasty, delicious... It was hard not to slam the whole bottle at once. Super sexy looking too with a nice tan head. Much thanks to jsbilk for this one.

From notes. Taster at the source. Pours dark brown, near black with a big coffee icecream head. Aroma roasty, chocolate, slight mineral. Tastes chocolaty, toffee and a touch of smoke. Smooth and soft. Really nice porter.

Tried the taster at Hill farmstead, and was impressed, so got a 750ml Bottle to take, now drinking 4 days on. Pours dark black with tan head. Good aroma which hits pretty quick out the bottle. The taste is rich and complex and as with all of the Hill beers the back bone of the water shines threw giving a soft complexity. A little nutty and chewy and if it didn’t say otherwise I’d say that was from a little rye. Just the right amount of roast and bitterness make this an awesome Porter. Hope to try again if I’m back In Vermont.

Rating 200, this one comes once again courtesy of Lukaduke. Somewhere between black and brown with a tan head. Rich, roasty, smooth with chocolate, caramel, toffee notes. Silky mouthfeel with light carbonation. Light hop presence in the background. Long finish. A treat.

Outstanding porter. So silky. Black pour. Nose of espresso, chocolate, and slight bittering hops. Taste followed with added smokiness, but was absolutely smooth and rich. Perfect level of carbonation. Fantastic.

Growler: The aroma consists of dark chocolate, roasted malt, black licorice, espresso, and some faint burnt notes. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a small beige head that quickly fades to a thin ring. The flavor starts with dark chocolate, caramel, black licorice, and roasted malt. The finish espresso, light vanilla, and a touch of burnt notes. It’s medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation.

A slender and silky belgian androgyne. Soft wet hay. A faint memory of apricot. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2 oz. tasting glass at brewery. Espresso nose with rich milk froth head. Silky coffee chocolate notes and tight carbonated feel. Hard to imagine what a better porter would taste like.

Dark brown, sort of clear. Deep earthy, coffee notes, grains. Some bitter dark chocolate notes. Thick body, heavy mouthfeel. Lighter carbonation. Really well awesome. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
