3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared at a recent BA/RB tasting... Poured pale, golden/straw with a thin head. Fruity and eatery with some earthiness and floridness. Yeast tartness, oak, wheat malts, wine-like oak and woody tones, and a hint of tangy sourness.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted on 8/2/11 from a Cantillon style capped and corked 750mL bottle, shared by ryan585, thanks Ryan. It is my understanding that, to this point, there have been two different batches of this beer released, this is the first batch Pours cloudy, almost milky looking, light orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to uneven lace, leaving a bunch of thick lace along the inside of the glass. The nose is lightly sour with some light wheat malt, lemon zest, and some barnyard funk. The flavor is more funky and tart than sour with good lemon acidity, light wheat malt, and a solid dose of barnyard funk. The body is light with lively carbonation and a long, funky, and earthy finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2012 Bottle. Clear pale blonde almost white appearance with a fluffy white head. Aroma has a lot of oak, fresh doughy wheat aromas, a bit of wine grape in there as well, light fruitiness. Taste is slightly sweet, quite fruity, light vanilla-oak notes in the finish, some wheat there too, ever so slightly sour finish. Palate is light and fluffy, some oak tannins, soft carbonation, easy drinking. A very good beer, it isn’t really a saison though (at least not to me).
Tried again on draft on year later at the Norma release. Big improvement for this batch. More wild, barnyard and tart version. A very good sour.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: The beer pours a very cloudy yellow/straw color with a big white head.
S: There is a nice lemony tartness with a hint of green apple. A decent amount of funkiness, particularly grass, straw, and musty oak. Some fruit notes and a fairly strong aroma of wheat.
T: Light fruit notes of apple and pear with lots of lemon zest and some green apple. Big wheat aroma with a bit of bread. Some bacterial notes with a bit of grassy and earthy funk.
M: Somewhat light in body with medium carbonation and a dry finish.
O: I liked this one a bit more than Art. Really nice and complex.

25.4 oz bottle; expensive but glad to have it. Glowing pale yellow with a snowy white head. Nose is lemon zest and custard, grass and pond water. Medium light with delightful pricks of foamy carb. Taste is soft lemon, dandelions, lime zest, sour pineapple and green apple peel. Spicy, tangy and herbal; this is a cool brew.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle… Cloudy light yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The bouquet provides spice-rack coriander, a light clove phenol, white pepper, a sliver of lemon peel and a grassy hay note. Light to medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Pale malt and biscuit malt sweetness up front is balanced nicely by mild to moderate lemon essence and acidity. Modest bitterness kicks in on the backside and carries right on through the lemony, grassy, abrasive, and then dry finish. Bottle courtesy of gn0sis!
