COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Florence (1915-1967) was our grandfather’s sister, and Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Belgian inspired Wheat ale is crafted from American malted barley, Organic Vermont wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Soft, cloudy, and fresh, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Florence. 5% ALC/VOL 12º P Ingredients: Pale Malt; Vermont Organic Wheat; American and European Hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Pours thick unclear zesty lemon with a nice bubbly white head. Aroma is awesome with some pleasant sweet and floral funk so balanced in the nose. Flavor is still delicious as well with pleasant floral saison yeast so balanced on the tongue and going down so smoothly.

Bottle thanks to tectactoe for sharing. Cloudy yellow-orange pour with a small head that fades to a thin film. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy. Tons of citrus and flowers with hints of musty yeast, wheat, and light brett barnyard. Tastes fairly dry and bitter but that doesn’t mean it’s not delicious. Lemon peel, orange peel, flowers, leather, wheat, and some prickly yeast in the finish. Light to medium body. I love saisons from Hill Farmstead.

Bottle from unknown. Pours a pale straw color, lots of fluffy head, which dissipates quickly. Aroma grain-forward, but with some funky, earthy undertones, some lacto. Body full and fluffy, with a tart, juicy finish, perhaps a bit of copper as well. Not at all what I expected, but very nice.

Bottle: The aroma consists of big heavy citrus, orange peel, lemon, florals, and a touch of musty tart apple. It pours a cloudy dull orangish-yellow with a one finger white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with a moderate-heavy tangy oranges. The finish has moderate tart lemon, must, and light florals. It’s light-medium with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, another super tasty Saison from Hill Farmstead.

Bomber. Thanks to mike12da. Nose has streams of light pungency and citrus zest. Hazy pear juice, with a beautiful fluffy white head and good lace. moderately tart fruit, light celery. Gets a bit salty or minerally. Citrus continues on through final. Light body, tingly and tart. Well-made and very tasty.

25/X/14 - 75cl bottle @ The Autumn Gathering formerly known as RBBAG Mons (Gent) - BB: n/a, bottled: VII/2014 (2014-1256) Thanks to 77ships for sharing the bottle!

Cloudy pale yellow milky beer, small creamy white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: artificial brett notes, lemony, floral, citrus, bit soapy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish, lemony, artificial brett, bit soapy, lemon peel, sourish. Aftertaste: very soapy, again the artificial brett (Wyeast package?), sour, floral touch, dry, some acidity.

Bottle thanks to Rob for the trade. Shared with Smelliot, Jackson and Adza. Pours like blended lemons with a thick white head which lasts the duration. Nose is lemon curd central - massive lemon and zest with a moderate sourness with plenty of brett focus to it. Taste is very lemon curd driven, clean and refreshing, very bretty and zesty. My first impression was overly zest driven but as my palate gets used to it, the brett starts to drive the beer. Summer in a glass. Very good
