COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Florence (1915-1967) was our grandfather’s sister, and Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Belgian inspired Wheat ale is crafted from American malted barley, Organic Vermont wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Soft, cloudy, and fresh, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Florence. 5% ALC/VOL 12º P Ingredients: Pale Malt; Vermont Organic Wheat; American and European Hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Bottle - Light lemon, a bit of soap and some grassy funk. Cloudy yellow gold with a decent white head. Sweet wheat, tart lemon and a very clean finish. This is like a Wit taken to a whole new level. Very nice.

Beautiful light pale fluffy pour. Vanilla aroma notes, some oak, wood, barnyard and sour pediococcus. Lovely balance, less wheaty hop characteristic than expected, which is awesome. Lovely soury aftertaste. Top!

A big bright yellow color. Foggy thick head. Heavy lacing. Really nice tart grassy aroma. Full of lemon with a wheaty taste. Dry finish. Very quenching. Extremely drinkable. One that can really define the style to me.

I thought this was a very good beer. The nose is great and while the taste is a bit mellower and not as complex, it is very good. Well worth checking out.

Bottle shared. Pours cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is funky, damp, citrus, weeds, peppery saison yeast a nice light brett note and clean crisp fruit. Flavor is light sweet and acidic. Light bodied with light carbonation.

Tasted on 2/6/15 from a capped 750mL bottle that I shared with the group. Pours cloudy straw with a huge thick head that very slowly recedes to messy lace. The nose is spicy saison, green apple skin, lemon pith, a touch herbal, very complex. The flavor is all of the same complexity, really great tartness. The body is fairly light with lively carbonation and a long tart apple skin and touch of spicy lemon peel finish.

Smell is light sour, wheat, and yeast. Taste is the same with mild funk in the aftertaste. Low carbonation with no foam.
