COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Florence (1915-1967) was our grandfather’s sister, and Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Belgian inspired Wheat ale is crafted from American malted barley, Organic Vermont wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Soft, cloudy, and fresh, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Florence. 5% ALC/VOL 12º P Ingredients: Pale Malt; Vermont Organic Wheat; American and European Hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Bottle. Pours a hazy bright yellow orange color with a small white head. A big wheat and citrus nose. Sharp, sour lemons, some fresh citrus. This has a nice balance between sour grains and fruity hops. Gushed a bit upon opening. Pretty good.

Another Hill Farmstead saison, perhaps a bit more simple than something like Anna, but I really doubt I could differentiate them blindly without trying each like fifty more times. It’s good beer, is what counts.

Bottle shared with jamesy - cheers! Wow, this might have to be my favorite "shelf" Hill Farmstead beer. It’s got a lot of the hallmark HF saison traits, with tartness and brett flavor, excellent water chemistry, and a really good overall balance, but the presence of wheat really kicks it up a notch or two. The wheat malt gives it improved flavor and mouthfeel, and makes it reminiscent of some of the great Belgian sours. Outstanding.
