Florence (1915-1967) was our grandfather’s sister, and Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Belgian inspired Wheat ale is crafted from American malted barley, Organic Vermont wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Soft, cloudy, and fresh, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Florence. 5% ALC/VOL 12º P Ingredients: Pale Malt; Vermont Organic Wheat; American and European Hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Mild Aroma. Not to hazy. Very little foam. Lots of apple, pepper and wheat flavors. Not my favorite from Hill but no complaints here. Nice beer

Bottle with friends. Hazy gold pour with plenty of head. Smell is fruity. Taste is sour apple candy. Packers the mouth. Sweet though. Lots of lactose action.

Bottle shared by Dan. Nose is crackery and light toast. A little citrus. Very pale yellow with a large white head. Taste is initially lightly tart with a citrus zest that is just great. A light bitterness. Yummy

Cloudy straw yellow. Up front peppery, yeast kicking off some fruit. A bit of grass. Some floral notes. Lemon. Not much saying this is sour, but wham. This one is quite tart. It’s thirst quenching. I’d say thin but not in a bad way. Clean, lemon sour that transitions into salivating for more. It’s just a clean little refreshing beer.

Good for what it is, a sort of sour wheat. Pleasant aroma, good drinkability. Wortha try. Thanks for hooking me up, Tomtom.

Hazed straw pour, decent sized white head. Aroma of lemon and wheat. Taste is quite tart with very low bitterness. Flavors of wheat-y sunshine, quenching acid and some straw. Very light bodied, fluffy. Does multiple reps.
