Florence (1915-1967) was our grandfather’s sister, and Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Belgian inspired Wheat ale is crafted from American malted barley, Organic Vermont wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Soft, cloudy, and fresh, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Florence. 5% ALC/VOL 12º P Ingredients: Pale Malt; Vermont Organic Wheat; American and European Hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Thanks to jwale73 for this bottle!! Pours super hazy pale yellow with a white crown and lumpy lacing. Smell is pepper, spice, lemon. Taste starts of peppery then it is citric flowing into sourness from the brett and it all ends very dry and citric. Light in body and smooth...slightly slippery. A splendid beer - my friend said that it reminded him of a berliner weise...I think there is truth to that.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2014 750ml bottle in a Hill Farmstead glass. Pours cloudy golden with a lacy, white head. Aroma of light wheat, hints of tartness, floral hops, and a nice light fruit/spiciness. Flavor the same with a great blend of everything. Fluffy texture like all of the HF beers. Another great Hill Farmstead beer... Can you do no wrong? Edit: bottle on Jan. 4, 2014. Still amazing. Nicely tart and greatly balanced.

Bottle sample at a sour tasting at Noam’s office. Thanks Ariel. Cloudy yellow with a big bubbly white head. Lovely aroma, yeasty, slightly funky, floral and earthy, with some fresh fruits. Fruity wheaty flavor, floral, earthy, a bit funky, a bit sourish, and a finish with mild hoppy bitterness. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation.

750 ml bottle pours a pale straw with a white head of foam. Aroma and taste has some soapy, lavender hand soap junk going on. Estery in the finish.
