COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Florence (1915-1967) was our grandfather’s sister, and Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Belgian inspired Wheat ale is crafted from American malted barley, Organic Vermont wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Soft, cloudy, and fresh, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Florence. 5% ALC/VOL 12º P Ingredients: Pale Malt; Vermont Organic Wheat; American and European Hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Bottle. Pours clear pale lemon color with big snow white head and lacing. Nose is funk with some lemon. Taste has some nice fruitiness. Like a Sweettart. Some funk especially in the aftertaste. Lots of creamy carbonation. Great.

Some huge citrus on top of this and some pepper and even a little cherry. Golden pour with great head and lacing. Finish is quite sour- a little more than I like. Tanginess hands around a while in aftertaste. Bottle shared at tasting.

Very carbonated pour. Cloudy bright blonde with two fingers of foamy white head. Very nice nose, citrusy and peppery with some yeasty notes and bread. Very nice. Dry and citrusy with a very peppery finish. Very bright and a little tart. Wonderful

Bottle shared at the 10th Annual Epic & Unusual Beer Tasting, 11/29/15. Murky orange, thin fizzy white head, good retention. Aroma of earth, rubber, bread, pine, dry tropical fruit. The taste is intense tropical fruit, citrus, bready malt, mild pine and spice. Medium bodied, bright, well balanced.

7 oz. pour during a tasting on 11-21-15. Bottled 4-30-15. Pours a hazy, pale gold with nearly white to cream-colored head. Nice, funky aroma is tart and floral. Very nice bouquet. Mineral, tart, very pleasant taste features flavors of bubblegum (this is very much a wheat beer), lemon, and green apple. Fairly sour. Dry finish. Soft and frothy in the palate. Light body. Overall, sophisticated and very good, as one expects from Hill Farmstead.

Well, this is incredible. Just easy to drink. A great funk aroma and the tart barnyard taste is simply delicious. Simple, a bit sour, not overwhelming by any means, and I get a touch of a wine oaky sweetness to it.
