COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An IPA brewed here at Hill Farmstead during a week long visit (reunion) with our great friend Luc "Bim" Lafontaine during his brief return from Japan. This is an IPA brewed with citrus. We hope to visit Luc in Japan and brew the next beer in the series... Note: This beer is not to be confused with its predecessor "Friendship and Farewell" brewed, with Luc, at Dieu Du Ciel in 2012.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2013 On tap at Worthy Burger. The keg they had kicked in 5 hours. Everyone was ordering this back to back! So good.

Arrived with a 3 finger white pillow top head that faded to some nice lacing. It’s a cloudy bright orange.

Nose is full of a great balance of wheat, pine and orange zest. I detect a bit of Simcoe and some jolly rancher sweetness.

Taste omg. Srsly Shaun? Whoa. Incredible. Not since I first tasted Abner a year ago or Society 5 in the Fall have I tasted an IPA that has so much simplicity and perfection. It’s this simple bright citrusy IPA with a very clean almost sparkling water finish. In between is this explosion of juicy hops, a hint of spice and almost a borderline grapefruit acidity with citrus that could be confused with pineapple.

Despite being 6%, it has enough alcohol to tell you this is an IPA. It’s the simplicity of Edward with juiciness of society 5 and the bitterness of abner all rolled into one and I love it. Wow.

On tap at Hill Farmstead, Hazy golden with creamy head and tons of lacing. Aromas of melon, grapefruit, kiwi, simcoe and citra dankness. Taste is juicy resinous hops, tropical fruit, blood orange, and buttery papaya, clean finish. Retarded ipa, almost as good as society 5.

Taster at the source and a 2L to go. Pours a hazy opaque yellow with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is really fantastic... Fresh orange peel, grapefruit, hay, and lemon. Taste is super clean and refreshing and runs the gambit of citrusy goodness. Mild carbonation and a slightly dry bitter finish. This might be the best IPA I have ever had.

Pours a clouded yellow. Nice compact on finger head with good lacing left behind. Smells of fresh hay and citrus. Taste is smooth all the way across nice effervescent bubbles. Love the citrus hits and the hop bitter finish. I could drink this all day. Reminds me a lot of S&S #4. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Growler pour care of Vinny. Pours deep honey golden with a white fat head which recedes to leave baby, spotted lace. Aroma of blood orange juice, pineapple, fresh honeydew melon, and well water minerals. Tastes so fresh and substantial and clean; blood orange juice, pithy pineapple, and clementine. Body is perfect and the bitterness in the drying finish is phenomenal. Superb beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a growler consumed 3 hours after being filled- big thanks to Paul! The pour looks like freshly squeezed grapefruit juice- ultra hazy with hints of orange. The head is massive and pillowy, lasting throughout the glass. Grapefruit juice and orange peel lead to bursting resinous juicy fruit and dank herbals. Very pithy and assertive while maintaining beautifully delicate sessionability. A light body is augmented by caressing carbonation that provides excellent bite and finishes ultra dry. Great acidity- super fresh and vibrant.

Overall amazingly drinkable clean soft and fantastic pale ale. Lots of stone fruit and orange flavor with a very light bitterness that is reminiscent of orange zest. Light herbal grassyness and a clean quaffable finish.
