A really great beer, the coffee harmonizes well with the bourbon character and yet creates something completely different from a KBS or BCBS, has a weirdly "light" character by comparison, I don’t even know. Thanks Colin.

Genealogy of Morals, batches 1 & 2. The beer appears dark brown, near black, with a thin, bubbly, tan head. The aroma offers oak, vanilla, bourbon, roast, chocolate. Lighter in body than the Madeira version. brighter on the palate as well. Wow, super easy to drink. Moderate to soft carbonation with bourbon and dark chocolates. Delicious!

Bottle shared at DLD. Pours a dark black with a light brown head that quickly dissipates. Aromas of coffee, fudge, cocoa powder, vanilla, alcohol. Taste is sweet with a bitter coffee dryness mixed in there. I think I prefer this to Damon.

500 ml bottle shared by ygtbsm94, thanks Brad! Pours a black cherry/near black color with ruby hues on edge when backlit. Beige head is minimal, and hugs edge. Aroma is massive: roast, smoke, chocolate malts, tobacco, tar, peat, oak, dark fruits, coffee, and bourbon booze note. Flavor is same - delicious and complex. Silky mouthfeel, moderate carbonation, sweet caramel bourbon boozy finish. Outstanding.

Bouteille 10-2013.

50 cl from my czar. Many thanks dude!

Bottle, thnx to Kermis. Pours a pitch black, headless beer with no light shining trough. Aroma is great, lots of bourbon, vanilla, caramel, oak and some booze. Flavor is very sweet, again loads of chocolate and bourbon present alongside some nice vanilla. Aftertaste is very sweet, chocolate, vanilla. This beer has loads of sweet characters, well balanced and it’s a great drinking experience. Very nice!

Bottle shared thanks to trade with Alen. Pours near black with a ring beige head. Aroma of massive bourbon, roast, vanilla, fudge, dark fruits, boozy barrel and wood with a touch of coffee. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter. Wood and barrel notes really coming out in the palate with a mouthfeel like crude oil. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Really excellent!
