Bottle [750ml] shared with HogTownHarry and GregClow. Pours a hazy pale gold with with an average size long-lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of citrus hops, citrus fruit and just a hint of vegetal notes. Flavour of lots of citrus hops, a touch herbal, along with fruit, a bit of alcohol and with a long, dry bitter finish. Medium bodied. Really good.

750ml swing-top growler shared with blankboy and GregClow, via JerCraigs. Light hazy yellow-gold with a large rocky white head. Dry, zesty, mildly fruity aroma, a bit of alcohol (almost 8). Taste - more APA, but wonderful - mid-level light grain, floral bitterness, solid overripe fruit, alcohol - building bitterness, a little oniony. Body on the light side, astringent, moderately carbonated, longish bitter finish that doesn’t quite hit "wow" levels - damned drinkable.

2013-04-26. Lightly hazy yellow orange body, nice off white head and lace. Pleasant aroma, pithy citrus, lemon, sweet grapefruit. 7+ Flavour is similar, pleasant citrus, sweet lemon and grapefruit, muted orange. 7++ Smooth average plus bodied palate and suitable carbonation. 3+ Quite enjoyable. On tap at Hill farmstead.

On tap in a tulip at the brewery. Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma of citrusy and floral hops, some pale, caramel and grainy malts, and a little dough. Flavor the same, with a nice hoppiness but something about the grains seemed slightly off. Average texture. A good beer but not the standard HF greatness.

On tap at Capone's in Norristown, PA. Tasted after Blind Pig and the Plinys. Step above Blind Pig, but a step below the Elder.

En fût sur place. Une belle robe voilée et dorée. Une tête bien tenace. Une superbe dentelle. Rien d’étonnant que cette présentation soit si parfaite. Un nez intense, houblonné pour me plaire, avec des notes fruitées, des herbes épicées et des vapeurs de conifère. Un malt qui se dépose comme une fine couche mielleuse. Sur les papilles, un jeu céréalier plus marqué parmi cette représentation houblonnée efficace, fraîche et même envoûtante. Des agrumes, de la résine et autres choses amèrement savoureuses. En bouche, un corps construit autour du concept de la buvabilité. En finale, des herbes et de la résine bien senties et très asséchantes. Un coup de cœur.

Growler: Lilly and grapefruit nose. Cloudy yellow, greenish head, thick head. Lilly flavor, lemongrass finish. Fizzy. Not brewery fresh, but if it was I’d say it is overrated.

Sample from the brewery. Pours a clear matte canary. Medium pineapple and grapefruit presence. Lots of fruity rind. Subtle but very delicious.

Tasted on tap at the Blackback Pub. Appears light honey color with a nice white head. Smell is a big citrus and tropical fruit nose. Taste is great citrus - a lot of grapefruit, some nice malr sweetness in the middle and ending crisp and very slightly bitter. Light body with elegant carbonation. So damn good...as always!

growler. hazy, almost cloudy, pale yellow with a very nice white head, very good retention and lacing. citrusy floralness, few pine notes, crisp and clean malts, tropical fruitiness. short to medium long herbal-grassy and citrusy finish, average carbonation, light body. refreshing, a tad harsh in the finish, very well executed again. i still prefer edward..
