Growler shared with the fellas in NYC at Sander’s place. Pours faintly hazy, rich gold with a frothy, white head. Intense aroma of ripe grapefruit, mango, subtle honey maltiness, fresh pine. Medium sweet flavor with tons of pine, some lightly toasted pale malts, bitter grapefruit and grass, faint earth. Medium bodied with average, smooth carbonation. Strong, fresh and hoppy to finish with plenty of earthy pine and deep grapefruit. Quite epic.

A hazed blonde ale with a thick and lacing white head. In aroma, a pungent citrusy hops with catnip, spices, very nice. In mouth, a crisp malt with signature pungent hops, citrus pulp, light funky character, beautiful. On tap at the Black Back, March 12, 2012.

Bottle... Pours clear and yellow with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Good retention. The aromatics are a blend of armpit muskiness, lupulin funkiness and light, peppery notes. Medium-bodied and creamy with lazy. The flavor offers heavy bitterness underscored by a hint of cracker malt. Bitter, grapefruit rind finish. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

Pale golden pour. Thin head. The nose is very bright and fresh. Pine, grapefruit and lots of nice resiny hoppiness. Lots and lots of lean pale malt. Very fresh. Palate is light and dry. Citrusy orange/lemon hop flavour. Assertive, but clean bitterness with some lingering dry hop. Crisp and fresh with a big west-coast hop flavour. Pretty damn solid stuff. More IPA than APA - some light grassiness toward the finish.

Growler thanks to oteyj. Pours a glowing bright orange sherbet with a large, creamy, off-white, rocky head with very nice lace even out of a growler.Big rings of perfect lace. Ap5. Nose is jackfruit, orange sorbet, sweet tropical fruits, Sculpin like butterscotch. Taste is very aggressive: huge nutty bitterness, vanilla, almond skins, mild booze. Tropical notes, mild butterscotch, and vanilla balance what is super aggressive hoppy. Way over 100 IBUs. Feels like super aggressive Sculpin.
