UPDATED: NOV 22, 2011 Growler courtesy of ygtbsm94. Pours a cola deep brown nearing black with a healthy tan head that leaves very good lace. Aroma is dank, fresh hops, lots of hop resin, hash brownies, chocolate. Taste is straight up Brazil nut and roasted barley husk. Porter- lol. This is black IPA or whatever the eff that new style is that we keep talking about- dark cascadian ale? :\ 6/7/2010 8/4/7/4/14=3.7
Growler thanks to oteyj. Pours a deep, clear blood ruby with a massive beige head with huge meringue retention and huge lace. Nose is jackfruit, rich meaty melon, pineapple, fresh coconut. Taste is lighter, astringent, lemon, heavy nut skin bitterness. Very bitter- nearing excessive. 11/22/2011 8/5/7/4/14/=3.8

Really dank, citrus pot nose, with sugary chocolate fudge and roast. Fairly dry, lots of roast, some chocolate, lots of citrus hops, moderate bitterness, slightly ashy finish. Seriously, this beer is like a hash brownie. Pretty awesome stuff.

Pouring at the opening of Hill Farmstead. Pours a clear black with a medium to thick tan head. Smells initially like the brew house, warm cereal grains, rich wort cooking, very primal. Roast and earthy hops behind after that fades off, chocolate and caramel. Roast and malt, chocolate. Very malty. Chocolate, roast, and coffee on the finish.

[Draft @ brewery] Dark brown red with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of some roasted malts, toast, pine, floral hops, and citrus. Taste of citrus fruits, pine, tobacco, some cocoa, and a bitter, hoppy finish.
