3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from a growler into a goblet vessel. Pretty darn clear lemon yellow color with a bountiful white head. Nice looking beer. Aromas of bready yeasty esters and citrus. Light body and pleasant mouthfeel. Orange, lemon, grassy hops give the beer a solid bitterness. Finish is long lasting and dry. Very cool beer with the citrus and hop bitterness in a balanced way.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 mL growler. Unknown original review date.
Nearly transparent yellow with a very brief head. Some wisps, but dull.
Light grapefruit hop and other citrus aromas. Almost nothing else. If I struggle I can almost imagine a touch of pale malt.
Grapefruit hop and bright citrus flavors. Pale malt more of a player here, but still light. Crisp and not at all bitter.
Very light, well carbonated. Very dry.
Yeah, itís a blonde ale. Not a lot to it, but as usual from Hill Farmstead itís beautifully crafted and technically perfect. This oneís just less exciting than their other beers.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From notes. 750ml growler straight from the source. Poured a clear bubbly orange/yellow with a large bubbly white head... like champagne. Smells were citrus... mainly orange (big surprise). Taste was again with the orange and a slight hoppy bitterness. No malt whatsoever from what I recall. Very bubbly, again like champagne. Solid blonde.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Harvest Festival.
Pours a clear, pale golden straw color with a fluffy thin white head. Nose of fruity orange zest, slightly bitter and grassy, but not much malt or anything else of note. Flavor is slightly grainy, grassy and filled with sweet malt and a strong citrus zest presence. Bitter and grassy finish. An impressive blonde ale, though I think Walden had a little more depth and the citrus added to this was almost too much for me.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Retroactive rating; found a drunken hand-written rating of this and decided it was good enough, as I remember both instances in which I had it. Draft at Farmhouse Ale Festival 2012, as well as oteyjís house. Surprisingly clear peach colored pour, smallish dense white head. Nose and flavor rife with gorgeous orange zest and touches of nectarine. Clean, crisp, refreshing. What a quencher, good lord. I could drink gallons.

[4710-20120818] Bottle. Saisony exotic fruit aroma. Clear, light yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Light yeasty straw grains flavour. Medium body. Good. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Shared at Campground Brewdown. Poured a super super light piss yellow with an average sized foamy white head. Aroma was bread, spiceyness, white pepper, dry grass, citrus. The mouthfeel starts of thin but finishes more of a medium body after you swallow, average carbonation that builds much like the mouthfeel and finishes on the strong side. Flavor is a bit better than the aroma with notes of grassy hops, basil, green leafy veggies, spices, bread crusts and lemon citrus. Interesting.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
In short: An uber-clean citrusy blonde ale. Ridiculously drinkable but not up to usual HF standards.
How: Growler, consumed fresh the day of purchase.
The look: Almost clear blond body topped by a small white head.
In long: Nose is very bright and citrusy. Taste is extra-uber-clean (maybe even a bit too much so), crisp crackery malts, grapefruits and other citrusy fruits along with some pineaples. Low sweetness sensation and sharp bitterness of medium intensity. Body is crisp and carbonation is lots of small hard bubbles. Everything about this beer is crisp and bright and it makes for an exceptionally drinkable beer. Very good IPA even if I thought it lacked the depth and sumptuously mouthfeel of the usual HF hoppy beers. As good as it is (and IT IS very good), it felt short of HFís own Walden that was release at the same time and that I drank on the same evening. I donít know what a Life Without Principle is, so Iím gonna assume it is a way of life Iím not familiar with, like Life With Moderation or something like that, I donít know, Iíd need to get a life first to add or remove Principle from it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a straw-colored golden amber with a thin, lightly frothed head. Semlls and tastes of citrus, some nice tropical fruits, wood, vitamins, vanilla, leafy hop bitterness and fried rice. Yum!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the Harvest Fest. Rather clear (by HF standards) yellow pour with white head. Aroma of pepper, lemon and grapefruit. Taste is very citrusy, like drinking a tall glass of grapefruit juice, slightly bitter twist in the finish (pine). Palate is lightly carbed and finishes clean. Iíd make this my lawnmower ale.
