375ml bottle from Kioskh in Copenhagen. Room temperature served, pours a black head with quickly vanishing foam head. Love the stickyness! Nose is roast, matured, wood, toast, slightly tangerine. Taste is chocolaty, malty, oak, alcohol. Expected more orange character, although it is slightly noticeable. This one is intended for aging, but couldn’t wait to taste. Aroma is great, taste a bit below expectations but what I love is the sticky aftertaste! Reminds me of some Stronzo ’mjöd’ brews!

Bottle at Chriso going Dutch tasting, 03/07/14. Black with a moderate dirty tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is big roasty tones, light tangerine, Terry’s Chocolate Orange, dark chocolate. Taste comprises rich chocolate, more from Terry, roast malt, subtle BA, sweet orange liqeur notes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent BA impy but not top draw, little overly sweet and sticky at times.

Bottled. Pours black with a small, lacing tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit, coffee, chocolate, orange notes, vanilla and wood. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry with some alcohol. Full to medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb. A lovely Impy but quite similar to the regular though.

Pour out of 375 mL thanks Stephen! Dark black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark cocoa, roast, citrus, lemon, hints of raisin, slight oaky tones. Taste is a mix of dark cocoa, roast, citrus, lemon, oak, honey, slight yeast, finishing fairly sweet, slightly dry. Yum.
