Pours a rich deep umber with a dark mocha foam... Aromas are sweet milk chocolate with traces of bright focused citrus and deep roasted malts. The palate follows the nose with a great balance between citrus and chocolate. Smooth creamy mouthfeel delivers the flavor profile with elegance and restraint. Love how the citrus peak and fades and peaks again.. not overpowering but just enough to heighten the senses. Best citrus stout Ive ever had yet I will say Ive only had a few !

Bottle split 3 ways. Pitch black pour with a fairly generous tan head. Nose has chocolate, light roast, light orange juice and some soy sauce. No orange in the taste, medium roast, chocolate, vanilla and some ash. Really well made and delicious stuff!

big beer!!! again shared with swoopjones. big dark pour with some nice tan head. nose is everything you would want in a stout but maybe a touch of citrus. mouthfeel is nice and the flavor is really complex.

Bottle: Thanks, Kevin. Pitch black with a mostly tan & lightly gray-tinted head. A bit of legging & some timid, spotty lacing along the glass walls. Aroma has notes of creamy coffee, cocoa nibs, faint vanilla, mild bourbon, sweet graininess, & a very, very faint hint of orange peel. I mean, very faint. Seems like more of a suggestive prose coupled with the generic sweetness. Flavor contains lightly roasted malts & some of that inherent roasted & smoky campfire-like character that you get from many of Mikkeller’s Beer Geek beers. A little ashy. Citrus comes out more on the palate midway through; orange zest, orange sweetness, & even a touch of lemon rind. More sweet than tart. The citrus subsides towards the finish, leaving an aftertaste filled with nuts, wood, roast, mild smoke, & a hint of alcohol. Creamy texture. Flavor exceeds the aroma by far, but pretty solid overall.

500 ml bottle from Dany. Pitch black. Aroma is dark roast coffee and smoke. Super dark roasty malt, similar to George or some of the other Mikkeller imperial stouts. Taste is dark chocolate, campfire, roast, coffee, a touch of sweetness. Any other orange stout I’ve taste had way too much orange. It was too much of a dominant flavor. This however just had a touch of orange. It is blended perfectly. And works really well.

Spectacular. Beautiful syrupy thick stout base, with just a hint of roastiness. The orange flavor comes through without being overwhelming or getting in the way.

Bottle at Netherlands session. Pours dark brown, notes of brown sugar, chocolate, dark fruit and licorice. Notes are a little hot but balanced and rich. This one eludes me no more

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2014 Bottle bought from mane just waiting for a reason to drink. Won the north/south hockey game for the first time in 8 years. shared between north and south captains. Not at all what I expected. Great on the nose. Boozy and bourbony. Taste is quite smoky, vanilla, chocolate and a subtle booze. I like this a lot
