COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mimosa began as an idea: a beer inspired by our obsession with citrus. We built a recipe comprised of our favorite ingredients: Local organic raw wheat, Citra and Galaxy hops, Brettanomyces, and a healthy addition of fresh citrus zest. After 8 months of conditioning in wine barrels with our resident microflora, Mimosa is now ready to be enjoyed. 19º Plato 500 icus 10% abv

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2013 Woodshed 2.0. 750mL bottle share courtesy of BOLTZ7555. It pours with a opaque deep gold body and copper core supporting a bright white head of foam. Nice looking beer. The aroma is a mix of green apples, peach and pear flavored cotton candy. The taste is rich and crisp and snappy and smooth all at the same time. It delivers various fruity notes like peach, grapes and apples as well as mild smooth saison yeastiness.

Bottle acquired via trade with AirForceHops and shared at Woodshed 2.0! Glowing 24 karat pour with a tightly packed ivory foam. Bright orange peel, grapefruit pith, and lemon zest accompanied by saison yeast, brett, and spicy leafy hops. Absolute notes of wet barnyard hay, funk, and mild acidity. Wildly complex...one of the best of the day for sure!

Bottle shared with Alan, Bill and Frank. Pours hazy glowing orange gold with medium white head, awesome lacing. Notes of heavy saison bretty yeast, oranges, so much citrus and light sour flavors. Medium to fuller bodied. This is insane, so much dry bitter grapefruit. Alcohol is hidden well.

Appearance: pours a cloudy amber gold with a lasting white head.

Aroma: Sour citrusy fruit, citrus, dank weed.

Taste: Funk. Orange juice. Sharp yeast. Lingering sour funk flavors.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied, creamy gentle carbonation.

Overall: Pretty darn tasty, alcohol is well hidden. Definitely not drinking like a 10% beer.

First bottle I’ve had time to think about, 750 mL, red wax, #332, 2012. Thanks Tucker and Ashley. Pours a slightly hazed, clear golden orange with a few fingers of frothy white head that fade to a collar and thin webs of lace. Small stream of bubbles support a thin film. Geuzue-saison hybrid with orange membrane on the nose. Mineral and brett, farmhouse hay, mild citrus sweetness and funk. Thicker side of medium body with a lactic acidity on the back of the tongue. Flavor has a strong citrus rind and membrane flavor, not overly sweet as the mineral acidity and bretty funk overwhelm it. Slight touch of rubbing alcohol comes through in the nose as it warms and the body grows more syrupy. Very nice, but not quite as enjoyable as Ann.

Bottle 750ml.

[ Bottle # 61/450 ]. Clear medium to dark amber orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate to light heavy hoppy, citrus, moderate to heavy yeasty, saision yeast, spicy, white wine, brett. Flavour is heavy sweet, light to moderate acidic and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, fruity, tart, hoppy, grape, brett, saison yeast, grapefruit dry and bitter. Very complex and power full both in aroma and flavor. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121109]

Light orange pour with a white head. Oranges right off the bat in the nose followed by tropical fruit salad, musty, earthy funk and tartness. Flavors follows the nose with big orange up front, mild tartness, more funk and tropical fruits. High carbonation with a medium body. A touch of booze at the end. I liked it better when I had it right after the release, but it is still great!
