On tap at Capone’s. Poured a hazy gold color with a small sized head. Lacing left on the glass. Aromas of floral hops, citrus, and some herbalness. Tastes of floral hops, citrus, and pineapple. This one gave me pine needle burps.

Draft at Capone’s. Poured hazy deep gold with white clingy head. Nose was citrusy hops, I got some rye and caramel. Tasted dry, floral, piney and citric. This was my first experience with this hop as far as I know, and it was unique and enjoyable.

750mL growler flip-top thanks to oteyj. Pours a cloudy, glowing orange sorbet with a thicker, bright white head. Very nice swathes of sticky lace. Nose is very intense melony NZ hops with thick jackfruit, cantaloupe, and lemon pound cake icing, birthday cake frosting. Rich, wild hop nose. Big butterscotch overtones. Taste starts floral and biting moving to thick butterscotch to near diacetyl and big biscuit. Finishing again so bitter, herbal, dry and floral making diacetyl unlikely. Big butterscotch malt balance. Quite yummy and extremely easy to love. The overall beer is really not bitter at all, which is so refreshing. No IPA nutty bitterness. Good stuff. Quite quenching but so much meaty Asian melon and butterscotch that it feels a bit thick. Great palate. Orange zest oil in the palate. Really enjoying this.

Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of hops, citrus, marijuana, slight fruit, grass, light Earth, slight wood, and slight pepper. Medium body. Dry texture. Hop, citrus, grass, finish is dry.

750mL growler courtesy of SFLpunk. Shared at last Thursday’s tasting. Served in a HopCat tulip. Notes from my in-progress tasting sheet.
Pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. Nice collar on the way down. The nose brings a very light malt presence. Alongside the malt in the nose comes some citrus and floral hops. Mild grapefruit in the background. The flavor is a nice combination of floral and citrus. Apparently this is what Motueka hops are like. Moderate bitterness in the finish after a light body with good carbonation. Dry in the finish as well. Very good brew; I wouldn’t expect anything less.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Poured a hazy pale gold with a white head that lasted throughout the beer and laced nicely. Aroma had notes of earthy citrus and grass with a nice hay backing. Flavor was similar with a bit more citrus coming through backed again by hay and a bit of grass.

Growler shared by Kan at Sean’s 30th Birthday. Pours a murky golden lemon or banana pour, very yellow with a frothy bright white head that dies to a small ring clinger. Aromas are touches of fruity and citrusy lemons, gentle grass and florals. A decent bitterness. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, with some vibrant earthy hops, weeds and grass move into light citrus, touches of bread dough, soap, and mellow dryness. Into the end falls a bit flat hop wise, cleans up, some soap, earthy leafy hops, and dry bready malts. Simple, underwhelming, but still doable. A nice fresh APA that seems to lack complexity, or maybe it’s just not the typical in your face strong American hop.
