4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml 3 days old growler from the brewery shared with Ben and Mathieu. Aroma: loads of grapefruits, floral and a tiny bit piney. App: hazy straw almost golden, small white head and little lacing. Medium body, fluffy, fruity, clean dry bitter finish. Overall: great! Wish I drank it earlier though. But great dry clean bitter finish.

Growler from the brewery. Shared with my buddy Jay, on his last day at Beer Run. Happy trails! Hazy orange, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of resin and grapefruit. The taste is tropical fruits, lime, mango, grapefruit. Medium bodied, well balanced.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at The Reservoir, Waterbury, VT.
At least this was poured into closest respected/correct glassware, a snifter.
The appearance was a moderately hazy burnt orange color with a bar pour’s kind of slim looking film of a white head. Barely any lacing.
The smell had a sweet pulpy grapefruit bursting over some bitter pine and subtle lemon rind.
The taste takes the previously mentioned flavors and adds a nice drying effect on into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a good sipping quality about it. Carbonation seemed good with enough harsh bitterness on my tongue to definitely show some great DIPA effects.
Overall, this was a very nice DIPA that I would have again.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy golden yellow, small white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit, hay. Medium body, prickly mouthfeel. Minimal alcohol. Nice crisp bitterness, some malt but not much, grassy, flowery, spicy flavors with some grapefruit, not powerful or anything but very nice.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sample at the Northeastern Brewery (VT) Tasting on 08/16/2015. The beer is a cloudy orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. The aroma consists of tropical fruit, piney hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of pineapple, melon, resiny hops and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a lingering fruity hops aftertaste. Very good beer all around.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draught at Armbsy Abbey, 8/16/15.
Not quite the usual appearance of most Hill Farmsteads. Still looks good, but the haziness is stronger and the head retention/size a little weaker.
But as far as the rest of the beer, Shawn’s done it again...What a subtle, reserved, delicious, drinkable beer. The aroma shows light candied orange peel, lemon zest, a touch of pine underneath and vibrant lime juice notes. Malt is well-attenuated and adds only a touch of honey/bread dough. No alcohol or flaw.
The texture is felt first; soft, but with a subtly tight, engaging carbonation. A bit of bitterness emerges, with light lime, white grapefruit and sweet orange all balancing each other. Interesting notes of rose petal, lilac and lemon zest, with dry pine on the finish, showing no resin or acidity whatsoever. Clean, wonderfully characterful yeast and light minerality. Hard to describe why it’s so enjoyable. The reserved nature is a lot of it, for me. Much like Legitimacy, it isn’t flashy or anywhere near overdone. Not a "big" beer, which is great. Had a full glass, but demands more. A very thoughtfully done beer!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
