Lukaduke (1997) - Portland, Maine, USA - AUG 24, 2013
Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a finger of tight white foam. The nose is rustic straw, grass and touches of pine and grapefruit. The palate follows with a full round body and balanced flavors. Nice grass flows into a sweeter mid palate that quickly dries out and gets bitter with lemon zest and rustic straw notes. Another great Hill double ipa !

Growler, pours glowing orange with white head. Aroma sweet malt, some piney with juicy fruit, grapefruit, hop resin. Flavors of sweet crystal malt, piney hop resin, juicy grapefruit, touch on the sweet side, could use some more bitterness. Solid but not special.

Growler shared by Seth. Yellow pour with a white head. Citrusy hop aromas. Citrus and grassy hop notes. Good balance with enough malt to keep the hops in check. Good body and mouthfeel.

Growler shared by Adam Jackson. Hazy bright yellow color. Nose is lots of citrus. Amarillo hops and a nice grassy note. Taste is more on the citrus side with low pine tones. Grapefruit, grass and citrus. The bitterness is here just low. The malt and hops are a really nice balance. A very nice brew and very tasty, just like everything else S. Hill brews. Tasty

1 Litre growler from the brewery 2 days ago.

A - Soft orange appearance, nice resilient creamy head with big bubbles.

S - Loads of fruity grapefruit with a hint of pine needle but not over the top with resinous characters.

T - Whoa. yeah, insanely bitter loads of citrus fruit and a touch of honey sweetness at the finish.

M - Nice creamy mouthfeel, loads of bubbles on the mouth swish. The water profile really brings out the hops

O - Yeah, LOVE this beer. Still partial to Society 2, 3 and 5 but this is a very good beer.

Growler courtesy of Vinny shared with Vinny and Frank. Pours a lift golden body with nice white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is lots of citrus, bitter grapefruit and citric hops. Mouthfeel is medium with lots of bitter grapefruit, lots of sugar and spice.

Stine (1463) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 14, 2013
Reliable pine, grapefruit, and clementine aroma. Some flowers, lightly sweet, lightly alcoholic. Lavender, musk. Totally nice, unexciting.

Clean, citrusy and conifer forward flavor. Simple. Some pithiness with grapefruit skin and peach skin, with a mild creamy sweetness. That might be reminiscent of coconut or hearts of palm.

The typical immaculately clean, dry palate that lacks heaviness and whisks itself away with grace is the only real recognizable giveaway that this is made by Hill Farmstead. The rest of it just averagely awesome.
