Draft. A hazy red-golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of hops, grass, and spices. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of spices combined with medium notes of malt and hops, leading to a dry and spicy finish. Sorachi Ace is not a favorite of mine.

Draft at Back Back Pub and Fly Shop - Pours a clear amber in color with a small, but foamy white head. Aroma is citrusy and fruity, Flavor is strong of citrus hops with mild caramel to balance a bit. Finish is lingering with citrus and medium hop bitterness... Good!

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen
Exaggerated carbonation, that overwhelms the bartender; hazy amber color with a huge head, compact. The aroma is a mix of exotic fruits (mature mango is the more evident), and apparently there is also the whipped cream. Lean body; dry caramel and toffee flavor; the bitterness is strong, but not excessive, and the hopping brings a pleasant touch of apricot jam. The final as well is quite balanced. Good, but apparently not fresh, for an IPA.

On tap. Slightly hazy dark amber with a dense and stable off-white head leaving some lacework. Amazing aroma of exotic fruits and ripe wild berries - this is Sorachi Ace for ya alright! Medium body, lightly sweet overripe fruit and also in the flavour these amazing tropical fruit accents with a touch of coconut. The finish is dry but not overly bitter. An amazing session IPA. Can’t help it, but I’m in love with Sorachi Ace! 081210

Tap @ Ørsted Ølbar, Cph.
Pours hazy orange amber with a big, staying, creamy, yellowish-white head. Aroma is sweet at first, light apple, grapefruit, lemons, lime and pine needles. Light caramel as well. High carbonation, creamy and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour is softly hoppy, but not excactly bitter nor dry. Piney, resiny, fresh, beech-leaves. Light dry, lingering finish with some Galia melon and mild peach. Good, but a bit lower carbonation would have lifted it.

Growler shared by plovmand. :) Pours hazy dark amber with a dense tan head. Aroma is dominated by lime, with notes of caramel, grass and a hint of orange. Flavour is bitter hops, peach, lemon, grass and pine with a hint of caramel.
