3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Shared at RBSG 2014. Thanks Biebers. Nose is funky and a barnyard hay. Pour is a hazy yellow. Taste is a tart and puckering hay and floral blend. A Ron of carbonation. Solid but would like it a bit more tame.

750 ml bottle shared by Dreadnaught33. Thanks Jonathan! Pours a beautiful hazy golden yellow with active head that leaves lasting spongy lacing. Aroma is funky barnyard, citrus lemons, honey, floral notes and spicy yeast. Flavor is quenching and delicious: bright citrus upfront and honey sweetness in the finish. Powerful real flavors are easily identified separately, but come together perfectly. Wow.
The beer is golden yellow and hazy with an inch of white head that plasters the glass with lacing. The aroma brings lemons, floral notes, light spice, honey (which emerges more and more as the beer is allowed to warm. Delicious flavor. Beautiful and clean. Honey and lemons. Refreshing. Is Hill Farmstead the best brewery in the USA?

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
750 ml bottle from Hill Farmstead. Pours a hazy golden yellow with an enormous fluffy white head like meringue on a pie. I normally donít comment on lacing but this beer stuck to the glass as though it was meringue. Aromas of sweet grass, zesty lemon, some florals, and maybe a hint of banana. Tastes are sour lemon and grapefruit, a little salt, and a lightly bitter grass/hay. Lively on the palate, light bodied, strong carbonation, and a medium sour/salty finish. Great sessionable beer (although watch out for the 6% abv).

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle from batch 2 at Padraig's. Thanks to Leighton for hooking me up!
Surges out if the bottle. Big carbonation. Hazy gold, big bubbly white head. Aroma is hay, countryside air in the spring, pollen, lemon oil, freshly cut herbs. Flavour... Tart, hugely refreshing, then it reveals white pepper, lemon verbena, lemon rind, grapefruit juice, citrus oils. Dry, dry finish... Bone dry. Every sip is something different - very clean but also wild.
A wonderful, fantastic beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, shared at a recent tasting. Iím coming to believe that big bottle-shares arenít a great vehicle for saisons. Imperial stouts, barley wines, sours -- those beers are potent, intense, and a few ounces is often all I even want to drink of them. Saisons, though -- they take time to open up, and can really reward peace, quiet, reflection, and more than an ounce or two of liquid. Not going to complain, of course, and am still going to tick this -- itís not every day that the hallowed beers of Vermont are bestowed upon us out here, and Iím not going to pass up the opportunity to let the world know that I had this and at least pretended to analyze it. Anyway, my notes: "pours like pear juice, hazy and gold. Aroma mineral, lots of lemon-tart pear juice and that "dandelion" aroma that the fantome pissenlit has. Slick, almost slimy texture, moderately sweet. Coolish ..." and thatís where my notes drop off. Probably because MBCP was being opened and I got ahead of myself. Would love to sit down with a bottle of this and at most 1 friend to see what it would bring under calmer circumstances.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to Tooch4321. Pours cloudy gold with a very large off-white head, creamy and slow to dissipate, leaving nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is peppery, fruity, floral, lemon. Flavor is lightly sweet with honey notes, peppery and fruity. Quite nice. Light body, strong carbonation, quite drinkable. Deserves its exalted status in the world of saisons.
