2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Looks good, smells good, but shows nothing in the mouth which characterizes a stout. Drinks like Guinness. Meh.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft. Black with a tan head. Aroma is nice and roasted, toasted, nutty, caramel goodness. Taste is the same, pretty straightforward and well done.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark black clear with a thin head. Rich chocolate malt aroma and flavor. Nice stout qualities very tasty. This beer warms up well and has a nice dry finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black-bodied with a slight head. From the first whiff, the black patent is apparent. Otherwise a fairly straightforward stout. Sturdy grain backbone off-which burst cinder flames of ash. Full-bodied on the palate with a healthy smoky constitution that holds up to a chilly fall night.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at ncbc. Pours black and still and headless. Faint ashy roasty nose. Watery flat body. Roasty ashy mid palate. Acrid finish. Way too much black patent and not enough bubbles.
