Sample at the brewery taproom. Brownish-black pour with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of burnt malt, coffee, and a bit of coffee. The finish is roasty with a malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Dract at the brewery. Pours jet black with a thick and creamy pillowy tan head. Big sweet roasty nose with a little peat and campfire in the background. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Roast, peat, caramel, and campfire on the mid palate. Great presence and complexity. Good beer.
