on tap-pours an off white head that laces and black color with red tint. Aroma is mild dark malt-chocolate. Taste is lemony, chocolate-dark malt, faint hops bite. Medium body.

Rating 1055. Had on tap at the brewery in Hilton Head Island South Carolina. Clear with no head. Flat. No rim. Faint malts in the nose. Taste is weakly faint and soft. Slight smoke (only way that I was convinced that it WAS a porter) and cream. Drinkable at best.

Draft pint at the brewpub; Darkest shade of brown there is, with a thin tan head. I swear this has a raspberry aroma and there’s a bit of this in the flavor, too. Wasn’t advertised as a raspberry porter, so don’t know if it was my imagination or not ... (#2820, 4/22/2007)
