Hilton Head Winter Ale

Hazy brown body topped by beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, butterscotch. Taste is medium sweet, butterscotch, light floral, sourness. Light-medium body, fairly smooth. Infected, but no surprise given how old it was.

From draught sample at the brewery. Butterscotch toffee, light biscuit aroma with no spicy character. Dark amber clear with lightly lacing head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet with biscuit, toffee, butterscotch and diacetyl. Light sour tang at finish with bits of hop character. Bad finish and salty.
