COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rader Ambrée is the subtle aromatization of a beer brewed in the ancient-way, re-fermented in its bottle, with a distillate of grain which has undergone a prolonged ageing process in oak casks. The primary fermentation is made with the same selected grains for the mash tubbing and the distillate. The distillate, aged in oak casks, is then added to the mash tub just before the re-fermentation in the bottle.

Big cork and caged bottle from the Himmerod Abbey. Labeled Abtei Himmerod. No mention of Val-Dieu. Weird.

Amber colored pour. Big soapy white head that is quick to fall and leaves minimal lacing. Yeast and malt notes in the nose area. Sweet, alcoholic, yeast, malt, and sugar taste. Hot, sweet, and kind of thin.

A tick in The Sickies with Dirtman- unbelievable. Just bring a wad of notes for your deposit on the ornate Belgian glassware- that’s a deposit on every glass, not just the Kwak trumpet. At least they’re trying. The beer is average. Deep orange with a slick-lacing foam. Aroma of beans on wholemeal, grass, faint banana. Sweet and sugared with a rub of grass, vague warm, honey on wholemeal. Super dull.

On tap at Delirium Café. It poured a clear dark golden liquid with a creamy white head. Smell and taste of fruits, malts, candy, toffee and caramel. Sweet and easy to drink beer that should work well with food.

Hab schon Besseres getrunken. Test vom 14.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,8,9,8,6,8 - 8,45
