2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 rickgordon (3815) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 5, 2005
Bottled. Sampled at Delirium Café, Göteborg.
Pale golden. Quote: "...using only the finest ingredients from Northern Europe, Hinano satisfies the most demanding connoisseurs with its freshness and quality"....yeah right. This is an international lager with rice addition, making it annoyingly sweetish. Mouthfeel is rounded, there are only vague notes of dms. Flavour is almost sweetish sticky and the finish is nothing. Yeah right! There is not much to tell about this beer, except that its almost awful.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 JonMoore (1581) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2005
Bottle. Light golden colour with a white head. Malty corny aroma. Sweet, corny taste with a light bitter finish. Indifferent, but drinkable when cold.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 johndoughty (3286) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2005
Clear malty and dry.Strange hard to describe flavours.Certainly different bit not sure if in a nice way. Didn’t realise the brewey is owned by Heineken would probably scored it lower if I had!
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 RAYBOY01 (2012) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 29, 2005
Extraordinary in it’s total embrace of the ordinary. Like every other "world" lager available everywhere. Drinkable if served cold, but why really?
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Saarlander (1667) - Saarlouis/ Rancho Cucamonga,CA, GERMANY - JUN 18, 2005
Bottle, Very bland beer, even for Summer! I’d drink it really fast if ice cold, and free, but wouldn’t buy again.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 shrubber85 (5972) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUN 9, 2005
Can. A very light malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet corn syrup flavor initially with a moderate bitter finish. Pretty weak. Probably tastes better on the beach with a topless girl serving it to you.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - APR 4, 2005
Pours a very clear golden with a medium white head. Medium body with a good amount of malt up front, but still stands with that eggy european lager taste. Didn’t have the skunking that most pale lagers get, but non the less uneventful.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 IslandHaole (1083) - Yokosuka-Shi, Kanagawa-Ken, JAPAN - JAN 1, 2005
Clear medium golden with large white head. Straw and light hop scent. Thin bodied with a bit of floral sweetness and a dry slightly bitter follow. I’m sure this would be a decent summer beer and if I ever fufill my dream of going to Tahiti I will be downing this en masse.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 dornoy (699) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2004
Huge white head, stays a very long time, leaving some lacing on the glass. Pale yellow body. Light malty aroma. Flavour is a bit bitter, malty, a bit dry. This is a very ordinary beer, made to quench thirst and no more. No fault, but frankly mediocre.
