COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our most celebrated brew. Deep mohogany hue with ruby highlights. Reminiscent of roasted grains, cocoa and maple. For the true beer enthusiast.

Light head with some retention, nice semi-sweet odor of caramel. Deep tan-brown color. Beer is brewed with maple syrup, but there is no maple flavor at all (thank god). The maple does make for a dry, but well balanced beer, for a bock. True winner.

Clear, dark red pour with a tan head, nice malty nose, chocolate, maple and cream, awesome.

One of the more stand-out brews I had at this brewpub - thick and creamy, with a very smooth mouthfeel - a lot of caramel, maple, raisin, and date - reminds me of the fruity complexities of the better-made german bocks - a very light roasty/smoky character in the finish - great stuff.

From Skyview’s growler. Sweet caramel aroma and flavor. Roasted grain, and a roasted meat quality. Very much like a German doppelbock like Salvator or Optimator. Sticky and sweet. Some smoke. Probably the best brewpub bock I have ever had.

Draft in Milwaukee. Dark brown-amber color. Thick malty sweet taste. Solid chocolate malt nuances. Deep and rich. Smooth and lagered out, nice mouthfeel. Lingering toffee aftertaste. Good stuff.

On draught at the brewpub in Downtown Green Bay, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear dark caramel amber brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and white ring with some nice lacing too. Aroma of malty caramel character, a touch of yeast, flowery hops and a light toffee. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of sweet caramel malt, light fruity and flowery hops, a touch of butterscotch and light chocolate. Finish is semi-sweet with some complex aftertaste of caramel malt, toffee and light chocolate.

rich, rusty body, almost no head. fairly hazy. Alcohol, ripe fruits, caramel, chocolate. almost barleywine like. nice velvety mouthfeel, thendries quickly. mildly acidic. really ripe, more chocolatey as it warmed. ripe, fruity, tart and alcoholic. a bit of a whiskeylike character. a bock more like a dopplebock. awesome!

Light chestnut color with a small diminishing head of off white bubbles. Sweet husky malt with a hint of dark caramel and toasted rye bread aromas. Sweet toasted malt, with a backdrop of brown sugar and light molasses. Surprisingly clean for all the sweetness. Mild hazelnut linger.

Festival Tap: Massively roasty and toasty. Big nose was unexpectedly awesome! Medium body with some sweet maple and sweet chocolate notes. Finish is roasty and long, dry on the sides of the mouth.
