Our Bourbon Barrel Doppelbock pours a dark amber with an ample, two finger khaki head. Aromas of bourbon and caramel fill the nose. The taste of bourbon oak and caramel fill the palette and finishes smooth. This brew was aged 10 months in bourbon barrels.

Damn you wax top, I felt like I was carving wood to get into it. Pours deep amber brown with a small white head. Aroma is, well bourbon and lots of it, caramel and vanilla notes as well, a bit oaky. Flavor has some dark fruits along with the standard bourbon notes of vanilla and coconut. Finishes mild and quick with lingering coconut and caramel. Medium body. I shouldnt like it much since it loses all dopplebock character but as a bourbon fan Ill give it a little extra.

Beautiful deep ruby color. Big rocky pour that settles quickly. Notes of grapes, port, and smoke in the aroma. Tastes a bit sweet up front with the bourbon barrel showing midway through. Slight alcohol burn and finishes with a hint of bitterness and a nice aftertaste. Pretty solid.

Really smell the bourban, and the taste came thru with some caramel. I recommend to anyone who comes across this.

Great aroma - definitely smell the bourbon on the nose. Pours a very deep amber/brown with a tan head. You can definitely taste a lot of flavors in this beer...roasted malt, oak, vanilla, toffee, and of course, bourbon. It’s rich, but not heavy...almost a little thin for a bourbon aged beer. Very enjoyable and drinkable. One of my favorites from this brewery.

Bourbon up top followed by nice caramel flavors. Hops are well balanced in there and play a good supporting role.

Pours a nice reddish amber with tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Taste is rich and delicious. Taste of wood and bourbon meld well with a strong doppelbock. This is a tasty and drinkable beer. Thumbs way uo.

tap - Pours dark brown with a minimal tan head. It smells of caramel malt and bourbon. The flavor is of sweet caramel malt and moderately strong bourbon with some vanilla notes. Quite good.

Aroma is sweet but a bit flat. Poured a nice dark deep brown, but lacking a head. Taste is a little boozy, sweet, but nothing poignant. Feel is nice and carbonated but thick. Would probably age well.

Bottle - Pours dark brown with a ring of tan head. Nose is bourbon, butterscotch, bready malt, and nice sweetness. Taste is the same--lots of bourbon and butterscotch, bread, yeast, and a sweet warmth. Thin and watery with medium carbonation.
