This "malt beverage," as the label calls it, has a golden body with tiny bubbles rushing upwards to support a thick spongy white head. It (the label) also reads "with cherry added." Am I to believe that they squashed one cherry into my bottle? Whatever. The aroma is like a combination of bing and marischino cherries, light but fruity. The taste has a subdued cherry flavor with some bread dough and a soft cherry stem bitterness. It’s drinkable, but I don’t believe you’ll find me having another.

Amber with a slight reddish tint. Big off white head. Plenty of lacing. Slight sour and fruit aroma. Taste is cherries up front followed malt in the back. Tart finish.

Pour is flat and feels flat on palate. Aroma of sour cherry and wheat. Flavor is amazing! Wow, what a great fruit beer. Perfect balance of cherry and malty flavor with aftertaste that is sweet.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
on tap @ Brew River Gastropub / Cincinnati OH --- Hazy dark amber, foamy rim head, strings of lace. Taste is malt that adds caramel and a quick mild shot of Queen Anne cherries, moving on to a finish that is hopped just enough to balance. The cherry lingers deep into the finish. This works because it is more about the malt than it is the fruit.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This seems to be made w/ real cherries rather than extract so, hey, that’s a pretty good start. It pours headless and orange w/ a very slight pinkish tinge to it. It’s slightly cloudy and nearly headless. The nose on this is mostly cherries up front w/ a pretty decent bready malt presence in the background. Taste is lightly sweet and tart which brings the focus more on the cherries. This is medium bodied w/ a creaminess from the wheat which gives it a nice juicy texture reminiscent of a hefeweizen (though this has nothing of that style’s signature yeast character). Normally, I don’t like this sort of thing at all but this is reasonably subtle for being so cherry focus and generally well put together. This reminds me somewhat of New Garus’s fruit beers only w/ a lot more beer character.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cereal aroma. Standard longneck, generic label. Clear, maple colored beer with a little pink tinge, lacy white head. Not sweet. Reminds me of the crust just below the cherry pie filling - doughy, infused with cherry juice. Not bitter. Light body, some tang in the finish along with a few sharper cherry notes. Easy drinking, but not going to set the world on fire. ABC, Betton.

Just a middle of the road beer. Had enough cherry to it to call it a cherry beer. But almost no additions to taste from the wheat

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 12 oz bottle. Slightly hazy, medium copper pour, little to no head. Aroma is pretty much neutral, perhaps a hint of fresh lake water. Flavor has a hint of sour cherries, some cherry flavored bready muffin qualities, a touch of yeast. Mouthfeel has a nice texture to it. Nice and refreshing, just not overly flavorful.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep orange pour. Light wheat malt and faint candied cherry withlight vanilla. Flavor is a surprisingly nice tart cherry pie filling, subtle but present, with caramel malt and that tingy wheat ale finish, slightly acidic. Lingering cherry and wheat malt. All-in-all a surprise.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pint sized bottle. Very refreshing, with a sour finish. The cherry and wheat flavors are subtle, which is great if you want a relaxing drinkable ale, but too little if you were expecting bold flavors.
