Our Door County Cherry Wheat pours a golden, orange hue. The frothy two finger off-white, slightly pink-tinted head fades to leave a spotty lace. The slight aroma of cherries doesn’t over power the soft wheat smell. These flavors play wonderfully together, neither overpowering the other in taste. With a medium-light body, Cherry Wheat leaves you with a mildly tart Montmorency cherry finish.

16oz bottle to a frozen mug at Gibraltar Grill in Door County where the cherries are from. Pours a translucent sparkling rosy amber with a white head that quickly dissipates to lacing that lasts somewhat longer. Scent of sour cherries. Very nice full mouth feel, unlike some summer wheats that taste watered down. Nice balance of wheat, malt and slight sour cherries. Very nice and refreshing on a warm summer evening. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy, slightly rosy, amber-brown with a huge, craggy, light tan head. Smoky cherry, malt aroma. Taste is slightly sour, cherry , wheat. A little dull.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent orange with off-white head that dissipates into lacing. Smells like cherries and wheat; like a milder Sam Adams. Tastes like it smells with a thin, below-average mouthfeel. Meh.

Pint bottle. Hazy orange pour with the thinest of thin white head, which disappeared immediately. Sweet aroma of bready malt with faint cherry. Light on the palate with a nice tart cherry flavor right up front. Not sweet at all, but flavored just right to give you a slight tingle on the tongue. Definitely not first in class, but pretty refreshing on a warm day in June. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flavor is tart with Cherry, Wheat, Floral Hop, and Malty Notes. The flavors a well balanced and quite flavorful without being too sweet. It’s not perfect nor is it for everyone but for what it is, it’s alright!

16 oz bottle pours a clear orange with huge, lasting white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is cherries, honey, wheat and some hops. Mouthfeel is tingly due to excessive carbonation. Taste is slightly sweet up front with a bitter finish. After it warms up, some malts come out in the finish. I’m not a big fan of this style, but would enjoy this one if it weren’t for all the carbonation.

16oz bottle. Half - hazy orange amber color. Thin airy white head. Strong soft carbonation. Some lace. Cherry taste is there, up front. Kind of lightly tart sweet taste. Some wheat grains. Gets a bit better towards the end as the carbonation flattens a bit, but still not great. Strong carbonation and fruit is not a good combo for me

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of all foam finely sized light tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a softly carbonated slightly hazy yellow orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was malty cherry and fruity. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish which lasted a long time. The flavor contained notes of mild cherry and malt that gets stronger in the finish. Not revolting like some in this style, not bad, kinda grows on you.

Bottle sample at the Hinterland tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 9/20/12. Clear amber pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of creamy wheat, honey and sweet cherry. Flavor is cherry pie filling with a slight tartness. Light hop bitterness on the finish. Very nicely done.
