Our Door County Cherry Wheat pours a golden, orange hue. The frothy two finger off-white, slightly pink-tinted head fades to leave a spotty lace. The slight aroma of cherries doesn’t over power the soft wheat smell. These flavors play wonderfully together, neither overpowering the other in taste. With a medium-light body, Cherry Wheat leaves you with a mildly tart Montmorency cherry finish.

Bottled. Poured medium golden with a very dense cap of whitish head. The aroma picked up fresh, sweeter cherries and cherry juice over toasted banana and zesty wheat.. wisps of vanilla too.. smelled refreshing. The flavor found more cherry juice (sweetened-up) and less of everything else.. just a little tartness from cherries, wheat, and lemon.. quasi-refreshing on the finish, but too much sweetness in there. Lighter-bodied with an OK feel and flow across the palate.. very approachable, but just too sweet for me.

Light orange color. Light cherry and light wheat, with a hint of cinnamon in the flavor. Light overall. It could use more cherry flavor and aroma, as well as a heavier palate. There is not a lot going on, but it is drinkable enough.

Draft. Poured hazy orange reddish color and an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate dark cherry aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium cherry sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Refreshing soft fruit beer.

Pint bottle. Hazy orange pour with the thinest of thin white head, which disappeared immediately. Sweet aroma of bready malt with faint cherry. Light on the palate with a nice tart cherry flavor right up front. Not sweet at all, but flavored just right to give you a slight tingle on the tongue. Definitely not first in class, but pretty refreshing on a warm day in June. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewpub. Comes a light reddish gold with a decent white head. Aroma of malt and fruit. Taste is malt, tart cherries, and grain. Nice balance between sweet and tart.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 12 oz bottle. Slightly hazy, medium copper pour, little to no head. Aroma is pretty much neutral, perhaps a hint of fresh lake water. Flavor has a hint of sour cherries, some cherry flavored bready muffin qualities, a touch of yeast. Mouthfeel has a nice texture to it. Nice and refreshing, just not overly flavorful.

16oz bottle. Red-brown color, thin white head. Pleasant cherry aroma, Cherry wheat continues to be synonymous with crap, as this beer further attests. It isn’t horrible by any means, it just fails. On the thicker side of light bodied, lots of sticky artificial cherry action. Not tart at all, just oddly sweet. Grainy cherry juice extract. I can deal with it, but this is not a beer to be proud of. Non-tickers avoid.

Tried this beer at the Casanova Beer Cave Festival (2011), did not care for the sweetness.

16 oz bottle pours a clear orange with huge, lasting white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is cherries, honey, wheat and some hops. Mouthfeel is tingly due to excessive carbonation. Taste is slightly sweet up front with a bitter finish. After it warms up, some malts come out in the finish. I’m not a big fan of this style, but would enjoy this one if it weren’t for all the carbonation.

Pours a translucent golden pink with thin white cap of lacy head that sticks decently. Aroma is bready wheat and sweet fruit, taste follows, nice balance between the cherry and the wheat. Not my style though.
