IPA has a roasty amber color with a lacey, beige head to top it off. With citrus and floral aromas, a pronounced hop presense fills the nose. A slightly biscuity flavor with well balanced bitterness and a malty sweetness finishes with a dry mouthfeel and a lasting bitterness.

[Tap] Tried a nitro and conventional version of this beer on tap. Pours a clear orange color. Nitro version had a dense white head. Not much on the regular CO2 version. Nose is of citrus hops, with some dank earthy hoppiness as well. More pine in the taste, with good amounts of bready malts adding a good balance. Lingering resinous notes leave a dry finish. I actually liked the regular version much better (indicated by the rating above) because of a better hop complexity and balance.

Tallahassee, Fl - Fermentation Lounge - on nitro tap. Pours a slightly murky medium orange with a frothy, creamy, nitro induced medium thick sticky white head. Aroma is fresh and floral with hints of spruce. Flavor has a nice subtle bitterness to it with some minty accents, a brief bit of citrusy goodness and some back end nuttiness. Mouthfeel is crisp. Pretty decent.

Light and crisp. A mild IPA with moderate hop flavor. Sweet body. Alcohol is covered.

Pour from a 1 pint bottle. Slightly cloudy amber brew with off white head. Very luminous but lots of stuff floating near the bottom of the glass (I used a Gnarly Oak Chalice.) Aroma of caramel, resin, floral hops. Taste is sweet malt at the start, some resin emerging in the middle and then a moderately bitter finish. Not a hop bomb. A good IPA.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2014 Last night in Wisconsin, and we are at the cabin. Drove up to a local north woods wine, spirits and more. Great beer selection BTW. I?m on this WI beer kick for this very reason. I like this one. No bells and whistles. Just the IPA you would prefer or expect. Cheers!

Draft sample at Dutch’s. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have lightly toasted bread, grass, earthy, herbal and mild citrus hops, a splash of caramel, mild to moderate bitterness to the finish, not lasting.

Tap sample. Poured clear light copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good to excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex citrus hop aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.

A really nice IPA. Nice citrus aromas and flavors with a nice bitter finish. A quality IPA.

Bottle: The aroma consists of caramel, peach, orange, and grapefruit. It pours a transparent amber with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film. There’s some sporadic thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with citrus, peach, and a touch of caramel. The finish has mild grapefruit. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and somewhat soft mouthfeel.

Draft at the Milwaukee outlet. Same, pure amber color as their pale ale. But this delivers a nice, stingingly resiny hoppinesss. Big, slippery mouthfeel. Sturdy and earthy. (#5149, 7/5/2013)
