COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
IPA has a roasty amber color with a lacey, beige head to top it off. With citrus and floral aromas, a pronounced hop presense fills the nose. A slightly biscuity flavor with well balanced bitterness and a malty sweetness finishes with a dry mouthfeel and a lasting bitterness.

Tap sample. Poured clear light copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good to excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex citrus hop aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.

Cask version at Winking Lizard’s 5th Annual Real Ale Fest (03/23/13): The beer pours a clear copper color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, bready malt and a bit of caramel. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Had this one long ago, I remember it being a solid IPA but nothing amazing.

Bottled. Poured fairly deep orange with a yellowy-beige head. The aroma picked up meaty orange and light toffee with floral and earthy accents around.. a bit on the malty side. The flavor found orange meat and biscuity sweetness at the core, with pine and citrus (mostly orange zest) bitterness around.. quite peppery toward the back.. lots of residual sugars back there, but there was enough hoppage to cut through.. just OK. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. quite bitter, but muddled.. not a great brew.

50cl bottle: pours a clear deep golden with a thin-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with some light oxidation and piney hop notes. Starts with a lightly toasted malty sweetness with a healthy amount of piney bittering hops and light citrus notes before a drier bittersweet finish. Didn’t taste as fresh as some IPAs and lacked some of the flavor hop components I prefer.
